This man who is asking for money is actually named Abraham. He is not “crazy”, he is a kind man who is diabetic and has zero access to any care. He is asking for money so he is able to survive. He is part of the bedstuy community and has many people in the neighborhood who know him and care about him. this is about a few years ago, me and my family were in Turkey for a vacation/visit.
My brother who was 19 that time got approached by a guy and a girl in a shopping mall who were also around his age. They acted like they were new to the country and were tourists like us. They started asking my brother questions about the currency and were acting all confused. My brother took out his wallet and tried to show them and help them out.. He was carrying 1000 euros with him along with Turkish Lira.
The strangers got my brother distracted and SOMEHOW took the euros out of his wallet WITHOUTTTT having my brother realise anything at all!!
My brother realised that his money went missing in the mall after an hour later and he could do nothing about it.
And the crazy part is, my mum and my other brother also came along when that encounter was happening and none of them noticed ANYTHING. We think that they hypnotised my brother or something but
to this day, we have no idea how they did that but that incident keeps us aware of our surroundings!!
