I was in the navy and i can tell u that’s a medic bag. He has to carry that with him at all times. That bag has more stuff in it to save a life than what was on that plane i guarantee you.

As someone who studied for a Private Pilots license and flew planes with seasoned cargo pilots it just amazes me how multimillion dollar planes end up short of runway when there are many instruments and systems to tell you altitude. Pilot error 1000%

The guys who brought his backpack was basically the last to exit the aircraft, which means he wasn’t slowing down the evacuation process. Also the stuff in their could be really meaningful or important to him so don’t see anything wrong with that

I feel like people need to understand that military personnel, especially medics in the military, have certain things they need to carry at all times. If there’s a chance to salvage military equipment, it will be done.
