I am going to side with the Japanese here. Anyone who ever visited Japan would agree.

For many reasons, I don’t trust the Chinese version. Anytime they get called out for their bad behavior they yell discrimination.

It takes a lot to get a Japanese business to show disrespect to a customer. These women must have been behaving very badly.

1. She dodged the question about her bad manners
2. The restaurant refused to take their money
What more evidence do you need?

A Chinese family brazenly skipped ahead of me in line when I was in Japan. When I objected they called me racist aswell. Obviously the go to defence. Never met ruder people.

I'm chinese but I'm going to have to side with the Japanese man here, he seemed genuinely upset about their table manners and didn't bring up race a single time.

If he was really discriminating against Chinese, he wouldn't even let them sit in his restaurant.

I’m not from Japan, but I never saw someone in Japan being rude to another person, especially a customer. Always very polite and hospitable, this was probably their own doing, stop blaming your ethnicity.

Didn’t The Chinese government have to publish a booklet for how Chinese tourist were expected to behave when they left the country? I remember this being a problem several years ago when the Chinese toured other countries.

When the restaurant doesn't even accept the money while the women have eaten buffets more than 90 mins, then the truth has been spoken

There’s no clear evidence against either party. But since the owner or waiter didn’t even asked for the women to pay, I’m gonna go with his side of the story.

Honestly I had encountered similar behaviour from chinese tourist in Singapore when I had buffet at seoul garden, Singapore. They came in group and the noise they made is deafening. None stop talking loudly and they way the fill their plate as though they didn’t eat for week. Surely they cannot eat all the food. What an attitude.

It's not discrimination, it's ethics.
