Morning yin yoga sequence for low back pain and discomfort.

Morning! Incorporating yin yoga first thing in the morning is so beneficial! In the morning, the body is still "cold". This allows for a tighter pull on the ligaments, thus increasing overall mobility and range of motion.

Having said that, If you are experiencing low back discomfort give this practice a go and you will most definitely notice a difference in your mobility throughout the day! #yinyoga #morningyin #yinforlowback

What is Yin Yoga? Yin yoga is MAGIC. Well, that is how I would describe it. Yin yoga is a practice that that allows you to go beyond the superficial layers of the body and access the deeper layers. This means in a Yin Yoga practice you are going beyond the muscles and right into the deep connective tissues of the body. Our connective tissues are made up of fascia, ligaments and tendons which surround and form our joints. Therefore, when you practice Yin Yoga you are able to increase your range of motion, your flexibility and strengthen your joints. A win win! If you ask me. Yin yoga is more than stretching, we are “stressing” the connective tissues and we do this with longer holds and intuitive breathing.

When practicing always remember

1. Meet the pose at YOUR edge (gradually)
2. Find stillness and focus on your breath
3. Resolve to be still

Awwww, I'm so happy you made this one!! I was up super early and just finished 60 blissful minutes of yin, so I'm saving this for tomorrow. You know the morning classes are my very favorite, and due to an old injury I frequently wake up with a sore lower back... so looking forward to this one!!
