As a psychology student, I was utterly disgusted and shocked when I first started studying about Freud. And I’m still disturbed.

I knew the last fact. I remember bringing up Margaret Sanger in a college class as a freshman. A senior classmate tried to tell the class that Sanger was a pioneer in feminism and women's health. When I started talking about her role in racism, eugenics, and planned parenthood, the MALE student kept trying to shut me down and tell me I didn't know what I was talking about. Luckily the professor stood up for what I said.

I have a master's degree in counseling and can confirm the history of psychology is very dark. I went into the field because I wanted to help people and ended up pursuing a different career altogether because I couldn't bring myself to study for the licensure exam. Most of the material they wanted us to know didn't agree with me spiritually. I found out there's lot of others ways to help people in need. I host bible studies at my house and disciple women throughout the week. Much more fulfilling!

My parents were divorced and I agree with the Dad 100%. My mom bad mouthed my Dad constantly in the home and it did mess with my perception of him. It wasn't until I got older that I realized who the better parent was. My Dad never bad mouthed my mom in front of me. He taught us about the Bible, to do good in school, strive to be the best person we could be, respect, giving 💯 in everything we do, not to take short cuts, I honestly could go forever. Divorced parents should never bad mouth each other. Your relationships are not the relationships of children.

I am 77 years old. Having earned a BA degree in Psychology in 1968, I knew all 3 ! And yes, in addition to the sexual perversion these “ fathers of psychology” practiced and advocated, they were also involved in the occult !
When I was baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1977, the Holy Spirit told me to forget every thing I learned and destroy all my books.., which I did ! I was considering pursuing a Masters Degree to become a counselor, but God lead me into Deliverance ministry!

I was in the psychology field and simply his views and theories about children were enough to raise red flags from the beginning.

I'm working toward a psychology degree right now, and I will tell you that Freud Was straight up cray cray! And the relationship he had with his mother was just straight up weird and the fact that he is seen as one of modern-day psychologies founding fathers is just crazy on a whole level. He is definitely suspect.. he also was jealous of his fathers relationship with his mother and hated his dad. I also learned about Margaret S. In Psychology. She was also wrong in her thinking on so many levels. Psychology can be good for you if you go to the right one. The problem with most Psychology is its grounded in worldly ethics and ideals. Thats why I am an advocate for Christian, (biblical) therapy. You want to live a healthy life it has to be centered on biblical principles. I know thats not a popular idea in our day and age, but its true. If you want to fix your issues, see a christain based therapist.

I’m a retired psychotherapist. I’ve always thought Frued was sick and twisted. It always disturbed me that an entire industry (including electric shock therapy and labotomies, labeling and institutionalizing women for life for hysteria) were all based upon Freuds foundational theories. Now that I’m out of the field and I’ve studied psychology and perspectives around the world the stronger I feel about this disturbing history. With all of this in mind, I think there exists far too much power allowed which can and often does, violates the rights of others via emergency and long term involuntary commitments.
Too many examples to cite. But here’s just one: lady with history of Bipolar Disorder goes to ER with complaints of headaches and visual changes. She was placed on a 3 day Psych hold against her will and was never given a physical exam (violating the first rule “always do a medical rule out first”). SHE DIED A YEAR LATER OF A MALIGNANT BRAIN TUMOR!!
The gross examples of misuse of authority in psychology are endless and started from the beginning with Freud.

When my sister was in therapy, her doctor kept trying to put stuff in her head to turn her against us.
She kept bringing up anything negative that happened in the past.
Like no one has had a blemish free past. 🙄
She didn't want my sister to get over it.

As a psychology student who kind of wants to go into psychology just to expose it…PLEASE keep doing videos about it. In fact, I would love to see a Candace and Jordan Peterson documentary on the problems with psychology.

I would like to note though that psychoanalysis is just one field within psychology as a whole. I’m interested in the cognitive and brain sciences. Very different fields!!

I left the field of Psychology, while at a PhD program in a very prestigious university (I was very close to obtaining my degree). Best decision I ever made. I am now married to my high school sweetheart (a Pediatric Cardiologist), have 6 kiddos, and are a stay at home mom. I will never regret my decision of leaving....

I’m 82 went to counseling for 6 months when I was 32. I had a wonderful counselor and his words still ring in my head today. About problems …what are you going to do about it…about criticism…if you believe compliments you’ll also believe criticism…don’t believe either. Life is in your vision…you can change your vision.

This information right here just floored me, jaw dropped but at the same time I am so blessed that you continue to bring out truth in every way possible, this has blessed me, and now has intrigued me to steer in the direction of psychology, even more to expose, and to bring truth in regards to the roots of psychology, and these men that were hurting perverting, raping and molesting children, and or adults for their own self gratification and have the nerve to call it psychology and have the nerve to call it Science and studies. this is appalling, disgusting and I almost felt a moment of shame to be pursuing psychology. I appreciate you exposing this. As a kid I was sent to psychiatrist for being excessively shy, and I'll never forget the perverted statement the doctor made, connected to my male appendage, and a toy gun I brought in his office, as if the root of my problems were connected to an unresolved fear of my pen-s.
As an adult I can laugh about this experience, and I can see the connection between Freud's teachings, and the strange conclusions the psychiatrist came up with, but as a kid it wasn't funny at all, and my experience convinced me that parents should be careful in sending their children off to so-called experts, as if their degrees guarantee they are good for your children.
