The cross is also forbidden.
Reason: when your mentally communicating with your maker HE wants to be foremost in your mind HIS way. He doesnt want you staring at a fake statue of him or a cross or anything …. He wants NOTHING to come between your mental worship/prayer/communication and His Spirit in your mind.

He warns us he is a jealous god. A jealous husband. But this husband can place wondrous thoughts and understanding into our mind .. with no help at all. We dont need the cross or any statue, and infact he forbids the use of them weather we are using them for worship or not. He says dont create tHese abominations.

No. A cross is ok but a crucifix is a physical representation of God which is strictly forbidden in scripture.

We are supposed to be worshiping God who is the Truth. A statue of anything is not the truth about anything.
