we have this debate all the time...Where does the rep end? Do you have to pick the ball up to a standing position on the last rep or can you just slam it and walk away?

Interesting - we’ve always done them with taking the ball off of the ground. Not catching the ball on the bounce.

I dislike this technique due to when the ball is released. IMO (haven't seen an actual test yet), this technique provides less power into the slam due to the rebending of the hips/knees before the ball and s released. I bet if we tested this versus releasing as full hip/shoulder power, onto a load tester, his would provide less pounds of pressure. That is why you are able to catch the rebound/bounce.

I just slam the shit out of it and catch it when it bounces up. Im usually sweaty and tired after 25 reps then I jump on the battle ropes.

This technique is completely wrong people. You don't drop the ball like the person in this video is doing. You need to slam it down. Hard. Try to throw it into the centre of the earth. They're called slam balls for a reason!
