I call bullshit on this. Because the man i married was always with his mother which is fine but he put her first still even after we were married through the Catholic Church. And he treated me with such disrespect and put his mother on a pedestal. Knowing damn well he became a narcissist because of how she raised him. Thankful now that i recognized it and i finally decided to let him go.

This reminds me of narcissists and the relationship with their mothers. Apparently have a good relationship but to the point that you aren't their first person but their mom. They'll show you through small but pretty bold actions. Some men don't show they're mama's boys at first glance and we have to pay attention to those signs when they pretend it's because they're close to their mom but what they're really doing is closing the door to intimacy with you while extending that unhealthy bond with their mothers. If you are not let into the family, know this is a red flag.

This is not always the case though there are exceptions.I Met a man who loved his mom. She was the best thing ever next to chocolate cake. But he depended on her for everything. He wasn't looking for a wife for a girlfriend he was looking for a new mommy.

this is totally opposite of what I had! He was the worst mamas boy I ever met, a 55 year old man who had to take her to the grocery store, food shopping eat dinner at 530 at home, he lived with his folks and she was healthy as a horse went out all the time. He actually bought her a Valentine’s Day card and I got nada! He kissed her butt and was the opposite with me!

Looking back, my ex had a pay-no-mind attitude toward her. When she raised her voice, he'd say he wasn't worried; she was just a mouth. But she was also the type of mother I didn't have that much respect for either so that blurred my view of his attitude.

My son's father's relationship with his mother is shady and they are close. She is so religious, but they support infedility and help her son cheat. They done this to other women he had dated/married/and engaged with. Not all applies.. I've known guys who had not a close relationship with their mother and they treat women well and with respect
