Try this 30 minute gentle hatha yoga class to ease period cramps and find relief while on your period.

Hi everyone, welcome to my channel. Today I'm bringing you a highly requested practice which is a yoga class that you can do specifically when you're on your menstrual cycle. If you're experiencing cramps as well as soreness in your lower back, I think you'll find a lot of relief from this practice. It's suitable for all experience levels and there are no standing poses. We'll stay close to the ground and keep things really gentle.

It might sound counterintuitive but doing some movement and stretching while on your period can be a great way to relieve cramps. Just make sure not to overdo it. Our intention is to honor our bodies and honor our cycles. Give yourself permission to do less, move slowly and fully relax your belly. Wear comfortable clothing and breathe deeply. No props needed.

I’m 1 week post laparoscopic total hysterectomy and needed something to get me moving again. Being a long time Kassandra follower I knew she’d have something! I may not have a uterus anymore but seeing as the same muscle groups are tender I thought this would be perfect. It was! Throughout the flow I found myself reminiscing about my past 32 years as a menstruating human, the good the bad and unfortunately lots of ugly. During shavasana, with my hands on my belly, I started crying happy tears because I finally knew that I had made the right decision for quality of life and this practice was the right way to say goodbye to this stage of my life. I just want to shout out all those out there struggling with reproductive system issues and know that we are all bonded, even if we don’t physically have our uteruses anymore, and you are not alone in your journey. We feel you! ❤️

Had such a painful night of cramps last night. Woke up this morning still in pain. I have a big exam today and not only did this help alleviate my pain and connect me to the divine feminine energy but also relax completely before my exam! Thank you Kassandra! This was a truly lovely practice.

At this time of month I am normally annoyed and agitated at the pain and hassle of my period. But at then end of this practice, bringing attention to this area, Brought renewed awareness of how we as women are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 119:14). Instead of annoyed, I ended this practice amazed at the complexity of our bodies and thankful.

You brought me into a state of rest and gentleness I forgot I had. I am only 22, but getting my period as a teenager was the worst thing, but now I honor it so much. It allows me to release deep and old emotions and to come back to myself, to feel sensual and yummy. Thank you Kassandra. My body reminded me that it needed to slow down and be nurtured. Being sick with a little flu type cold or something, I needed this reminder more than ever. I have one question that maybe you can answer. So in the squatting pose, I have trouble keeping my back straight, and therefore relaxing and settling into the pose. I am able to push my hips apart with my arms, but am not able to settle there. Any tips?

Thank you so much! This made me feel great and I will definitely come back to this video. whenever I had my period I used to skip Yoga movements but this class makes a huge difference and I wont skip it anymore. i'm on the second day of my cycle and this gentle, nourishing class was everything i needed. thank you the reminder to not tense the lower belly and to blow everything out - I will keep this with me as i carry on the rest of my day. this class allowed me to start my day with the highest form of self care, i loved it! thank you Kassandra <3

Just got my iud a few days ago and am dealing with cramps, this helped a lot to get me off the couch and moving a little. I typically do a lot of high intensity workouts so your channels a great way for me to ease back in instead of diving like I usually do.
