2008, we lost everything! 2 little kids, no house barely 2 functioning cars. Now, no debt except the house. 6 month emergency stash. Save, canning, gardening and being able to coupon, barter has helped so much! One last kid at home in HS.
I want to pay off the house asap. It's coming. Despite all the calamity going on, we believe God has our backs and we have each others!

After 16 years at my job I quit September 2022. Was making 140, 000 a year. 401k match and full paid Healthcare... it wasn't worth it. Our most valued assets should be time, Our families, Our health and so on. Anything gets in the way of that beware. I have no regrets. We should work to live not live to work. Blessings to you all

I've been with the same company for 18 years, I don't love it, but I've found that a realistic outlook and decent attitude makes a huge difference in how I handle going in each day. Just punch the clock, get it done, and get it done right. This is real life and I have a family to take care of. This is how we adult.

Being debt free is so wonderful. I only have utility, cell phone and annual insurance and taxes. I still work to save. Eliminating any payment makes a HUGE dent in your monthly budget.

I do everything my employer needs. I go above and beyond with my job. I want to be the one who is kept when times get tough.

Times have changed, I am 73 and been there and never saw my mother who rear 10 children alone after my father was killed in a car accident, cry over anything. She did what she had to do. I was taught to learn and do well and work hard to reaching my goals. sometimes I failed but I got right back into the fight. I lived now like I have nothing which is about true because of where we are now with all the changes. But that is not stopping me from being happy. Why because I got shelter, 4 walls around me, food in the cupboard. I am not mother hubbard going to the cupboard looking for a bone. water is store up. and if the power go out I got that covered also to cook and see by. But most important I believe in my Father, God Almighty will not abandon me. faith of a mustard seed can move mountains. He created the world out of a word. you are made in his image. Don't fall for the lies of this world, you can do anything with him at your side. Your not working for friends, your working for your purpose...keep that in front of you. Do what you got to do. Set your goals, reach one at a time. help each other if you can. even a small thing is a lot when you have nothing at all. But most of all do not live in FEAR. you would be surprise what really makes you HAPPY. The simple things in life. Shelter, food, water and heat you got them your fine. since the beginning of time that was all that was need. God bless everyone.

Nurse for 42 years. Lost my job 2 weeks ago. I’m not jabbed, and will not take it. I knew from the beginning this science stew had nothing to do with healthcare. Since I will not take it the less likely I will be able to find a nursing job. I can retire, but not ideal. I will probably retire and then do other things on the side. I’m well stocked with food, etc. I began very actively prepping with Alaska Prepper appeared in my YouTube feed March 2020. We have some financial issues, but due to my resolve not to take the science stew, we will do better with me retiring. Please pray for revelation and clear vision as we face this new reality.

I hated most of the jobs I had. But I didn't quit and kept putting into my federal pension. Today I'm retired and debt free and glad I'm glad I stuck with it all. Deal with it, people. Life is not a bowl of cherries. Hard work and perseverance pays off.

We are retired now, but my husband and I worked jobs we didn't enjoy, jobs that were stressful, jobs with hours we didn't like, etc. We just put our heads down and kept going, living simply, saving and investing. It has been a blessing that we did this. Often it was not fun, not fulfilling, but now we feel comfortable in our retirement, and that made all the drudgery worth it!

My son, 24 yrs wanted to quit his job so he could concentrate solely on researching and applying to other jobs he wanted to try for…I calmly explained that his reasoning was FAULTY…. First you don’t quit a job, unless you are being abused whereby you have evidence to bring charges or if it is absolutely unsafe…neither of which was the case. Also I explained that he is still living at home which is giving him a false perception of what he can afford. Instead he went back to his job and discussed some concerns he had with his boss and is currently still employed there and happier….parenting doesn’t end people…lol

Please pray for workers in my area of Florida. The mill a few counties over closed with only a week's notice. Those folks weren't making big bucks, and now they're totally out of a job. 😞

I have always heard that in a farming family one person has to work outside the home. I worked so my husband could farm. I didn't earn that much but the insurance and company benefits was worth it especially when you have children. I stuck it out til I could retire and so glad I did. Thanks Patara for all your knowledge and advice.

So much of this resonates with my family and extended family and friends. Bottom line get out of debt as soon as possible. Live as minimally as possible for now and save and stockpile ad best you can. Oh an buckle up!

I knew a lady, she has passed now, that was a single parent. She had 2 jobs. Her fulltime job took care of she and her children and created their “emergency fund” her 2nd job was for savings only…

I have been on my job 21 years, many days I wanted to quit but I didn't. Just today at work I was thinking about all of these people being layed off and I need to appreciate my job and be the best employee I can be. Thank You for this video. ❤️
