Not sure why you folks keep characterizing the decomposition process as disgusting. I think it is actually pretty amazing. It is a super-efficient process for returning all the atoms and organic molecules that were a one-time gathering together to form an specific, completely unique physical entity (human, other mammals, reptiles, butterflies, etc.) back to from whence they came, (Most likely planet Earth and its atmosphere, most likely to be recycled into another form of being, unless of course the dead has been embalmed and buried in an airtight burial vault, with the intention of never being returned, except perhaps for the Christian Rapture but that would not be a return to Earth but straight to heaven, a non-earth dimension.) If left alone to occur, it is desirably fast, greatly reducing the possibilities of the effects and by-products causing infection and disease in the living, and enriching the soil of Mother Earth, nourishing a long chain of other living organisms until they too die and the cycle repeats itself over and over again. Amazing!

Then there is this --- A Safety Coffin (⊙_◎) huh?
A safety coffin or security coffin is a coffin fitted with a mechanism to prevent premature burial or such as a cord attached to a bell that the interred person could ring should they revive after the burial. A bell for signalling and a window for viewing the body, was constructed over an empty grave. A large number of designs for safety coffins were patented during the 18th and 19th centuries and variations on the idea are still available today.◉_◉ yikes !!
