Thank you so much. I’m one week in quitting smoking after 25 years of smoking. I’m still having horrible insomnia and mood swings and physical pain. I can’t handle hearing another person say that quitting smoking was so easy for them or that once you make it past those first three days you will feel better. It’s been 7 days and I’m not even a little bit better. I’m exhausted. Thank you for validating how difficult this is.

I stopped smoking about 6 weeks ago and I think it’s more mental than anything I did have insomnia which I still deal with and sweating a lot in my sleep. The worst of all is the feeling I have of feeling like I’ll suffocating in particular after a meal. Also like my brain is saying I’m in pain when in actuality I’m not I think my brain is trying to balance itself back to normal. I’m rooting for everyone and remember you aren’t alone. Thank you for the informative video and god bless you all

I’m on day 10 no nicotine.I feel great. But struggling a lot with anxiety. Like I can feel my entire body and everything feels so tight. Feeling my heartbeat pounding while the heart rate is normal is the worst feeling yet. I’m going strong, still refusing to intake any nicotine or vape. I wish everyone the best luck on quitting smoking or any addiction.

Started smoking at 18. Smoked for 13 years and decided to quit Cold Turkey at the age of 30... 1 month since now been going through hell with nicotine withdrawal issues, anxiety and insomnia is the worst part but, i feel better now even though it needs time for the body to adjust to its normal levels and heal again.

And i think that the physical symptoms of Nicotine withdrawal are phsycogenic.
Wich means that you just have to be mentaly strong to overcome the consiquences.
For some, are short time period,
For others, may last a bit longer.
(Depending on the person)

Stay safe and quit smoking! 🚭

It's not that bad. It's just a mindset. It"s up to you.

The “draw” of smoking is always what I was addicted to. I’ve abruptly stopped heavy habits several times and that’s the only thing I missed. Don’t think I’ve ever had withdrawals because I wasn’t aware withdrawals were a thing.

A lot of addictive behaviors are psychosomatic. Obsessing over withdrawals and timelines can create symptoms that wouldn’t normally be there (precipitated anxiety).

This is why AA failed me and quitting alone worked. Talking about booze all the time made me feel crazy. When I stayed away from alcohol and bars and took a vacation to the beach I stopped drinking and never looked back. Attended an AA meeting later and the cravings all came back.

I don’t think I’m really saying much in this comment other than suggesting people to just pretend like withdrawals aren’t a thing (except alcohol and benzos because of health danger), and the real symptoms will manifest. Thinking about withdrawal all the time will cause symptoms you never would have normally had. Stay occupied.

I've booked a stay at a clinic to quit smoking. Mind you I do NOT want to quit, but i must, and I can't put it off any more. And I am terrified. Glad you understand

😢 appreciate your video.. you’re spot on with exactly… what I’m feeling with withdrawals from smoking… I’m on & off the patch right now.. it’s a little over a week I’m proud of myself I got his far I’ve been a smoker well over 10 years. The first few days were easier for me but after a week I’m feeling the urge. Thanks for making this video I’m going to continue to quit smoking… which is a struggle…just feel less alone

I vaped all day every day even at work for 10 years. I quit once with Chantix and relapsed. Second time I quit Cold Turkey and it actually worked much better. The physical withdrawals are NOT as bad as everyone makes it seem. Its totally doable. Anyone out there trying to quit - you can do it!!! Don’t listen to these sensationalized videos on YouTube.

I have quit ages ago. But watching this just to remember how hard it was to quit. Funny thing is, withdrawal itself does not even hurt.. there is nothing painful about it. And yet, the suffering is very high, and i cant explain why.

When I quit it was cold turkey. For a solid month it was unbearable. Chewing sugarless gum helped

I love how you explain your version of addiction you hit it on the nail with time stopping. The best part is it really does get better if the want to ease off
