I quit “cold turkey” about 3 months ago.

Leading up to that there were a lot of nights of me buying vapes to rid the cravings then throwing them out, out of guilt. THEN being mad that I wasted $20.

One day I got tired of the cycle and said “let’s get through these cravings so I never have to have them again.” I quit 3 months ago at the time of writing this and have zero temptation to go back. Mind you, I’m around them all the time because my roommates vape.

But trust me, you can absolutely do it.

Today marks 3 months. I felt called to encourage anyone who’s reading this and may currently be going through the thick of it. I was heavily addicted to vaping for years and it was single handedly the only thing I ever thought about. It consumed every part of me. Before quitting and even shortly after quitting, I question myself and what I was doing... if nicotine is making my life “good”, why am I putting myself through suffering?

I think a lot of people struggle with this, because it’s easy to forget how life was before nicotine and how getting that buzz is in actuality just a constant craving to feel “normal” again. We forget that feeling in addiction.

After literally over 50 times attempting to quit this year I’ve been able to finally do it, and have absolutely no desire to go back to it. Trust my words when I tell you, there IS a light at the end of the tunnel and life is truly better without it.

Due to nicotine withdraw im having a serious case of insomnia but I keep telling myself it's for the better. I'd rather have temporary insomnia than permanent lung damage

I’m having my last cigarette at the moment.
Let’s see how long I can last. Wish me luck.

- Edit - I realized that quitting completely wasn't the right way. I had a terrible year so I kept on smoking.

It is now 2024, I keep smoking but less and less. From almost two packs a day, to less than half a pack.

I am here to remind everyone that, progress takes time and if you are a heavy smoker like I was, then, take it slow. Not only with cigarettes but with everything else. Only the real ones know the struggle, keep fighting and don't give up, I am proud of you!

Idek if you are gonna see this but, I’ve been off the vape for 16 days now. It’s been rough but I finally feel like I’m getting back to being myself. It’s almost like the amount of nicotine I consumed gave me symptoms of ADHD. Now I can finally see a life for myself where I can focus on what really matters. Been binging your videos almost every day. Thank you so much for the work you have put out because no one else has explained this detox process like you have and I really appreciate you giving us this knowledge. You’re saving so many more people than you could imagine

Thank you!! I’m on the verge of quitting, I’m going out of town tomorrow and I’ve decided I’m not bringing my vape. It’s been 7 years with this thing and I’m getting too old for this, I want to be a mom one day and I wouldn’t want my future kids to see me with one or for them to think it’s healthy to cope with nicotine. Not only for my future kids but for me and my own health. It’s hard but I know it must be done. I’m going to continue watching you for support, thank you for sharing this!

In June I will be one year free from nicotine. Loved the high performance planner you recommended. Kept your voice in my ear on my journey to freedom. You were so helpful to me. A disturbing hypnosis I did on YouTube by Adam cox called quit smoking game show (?) finally sealed the deal. For years I had ups and downs trying to quit. I promise you can be free! Never give up. I live with a smoker and I am never tempted I even forget that I was a smoker sometimes! (I smoked over a decade!). It’s just not a part of my life, thought process, coping mechanisms etc etc. I am free. Never give up it’s so worth it

This opened my eyes. I have never thought of the quitting process in the perspective of celebrating the starving nicotine receptor cells instead of (as usual) grasping on to keep those cells alive
