Nicotine withdraw feels more like being thirsty to extremely thirsty and not being able to drink water

I’m 5 weeks off the vape now. Was vaping for 8 years and smoked for many years prior to this. I can honestly say quitting vaping was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done. Nicotine addiction is the devil. I’m very proud of myself for doing this. I still get daily craves. I don’t think the desire for nicotine ever really completely leaves you. It just gets more tolerable over time.

Nicotine withdrawl feels like you have no plan what to do in your life, the smoke/vape gave you a reason to stand up in the morning.
But after 2 weeks it will be bether.

Feels nothing like that. It feels like your brain and body are in a huge war within itself. Restlessness, irritability, literal physical twitches and shit. Not a fun experience. I’m on day 2 of quitting cold turkey and this shit is the worst pain I’ve gone through. Props and good luck to all the people trying to stop the terrible habit!

It feels like everything is out to get you, like everything is designed to be either a stressor or a pester. It sucks, but it it passes. Five days free, I don’t plan on going back. I was at work on Tuesday night and I felt as though I was going to either break down into a ball of tears or break out in a fit of violence. But, I was working in drive-thru that day and people who go through the drive-thru are usually lazy dicks (even when I used marijuana and nicotine it was miserable).

I've done this in the past many times and i am good at self control, specially smoking, the first three days were little uneasy but after that you're used to, but just after 21 days you get another craving and almost irresistible, have control . After that you're fine and also after 1.5 months suddenly that urge to smoke again and that will the toughest one to ignore . I am on my day 1 again, but i am planning to be permanently quitting smoking, cause mentally it wrecks my mind, i don't have any physical problems but my mental health is not good, and it's all because of smoking.

Update : 10 days without smoke but gotta tell you idk this time it is harder than I've expected, though still haven't smoked yet, no cravings physically, but mentally it's making you feels like emotional, all the previous memories related to it kinda emotionally tortures you, some restlessness is also there, feeling bore too, feeling little empty inside . Positive impact : my long term constipation is showing signs of improvement, overall mood is light, less stress, no sleep tiredness, slightly starting to feel good too

Thank you for all of your videos. I've been smoking for over 25 years and I'm trying to quit. Your videos are already making it easier to take the steps needed

Nicotine withdrawal feels like you're stranded in the desert and you can see water in front of you but for some reason you can never get to it imagine all the emotions that would make you feel that's withdrawal

I had to quit cold turkey because my daughter developed asthma. Once stopped so did her Asthma. Best decision I ever made.

It’s different for everyone, I knew someone who smoked for 15 years and was fine after a week and my dad has smoked for 23 years and after a month he was still having withdrawals

Good lad, that's exactly what it's like. 👍
Nothing bad is happening to you, quite the opposite. You are freeing yourself.
I've been in the depths of despair many times "trying" to quit smoking until i finally realised that being happy about the process is the key. 3-5 days is easy if you keep yourself happy and positive about the experience.

I reduced my nicotine intake by half after 16 years of use. Come to find out, my nicotine intake was hiding anxiety symptoms like feeling dizziness, chest pressure, ect. Who ever is going through this, dont panic. It will pass. God bless.

sleep and raging irritability were my worst symptoms, so staying away from important interactions until I found rational ground again was key --- pretending that its just the flu is a great strategy ! it passes ! It was more like 72hr increments for me, every 72 hrs was another win :-) If youre in it now - keep going !

I’m 15 and been addicted to vaping for 2 whole years, this is not an easy task, I once went absolutely insane when I didn’t have nic for 5 days, everything felt fake and I felt depressed, I had raging headaches and i couldn’t get good sleep. Lord have mercy

So true. I quit vaping, and I would constantly find myself reaching in my pocket for my vape, then remember I don't have it. I'd especially miss it in certain situations when I would usually use it, like when I sit down to play video games, or when I get in my truck, or when taking a break while hiking. It was bad for a week, but then it went away pretty fast. Now I crave it every now and then, like after a stressful day at work. Even then, I only crave it like once a month, and it's not a super strong craving

I got over nicotine withdrawal by doing a straight 3 day intermittent fast.

The detox from the increased autophagy, the increase of BDNF, neuroplasticity, and rewiring of neurones, and the desire for food (overides the addiction) killed off my addiction for nicotine after the 3 day fast.

I felt no symptoms of nicotine withdrawal throughout the intermittent fast. I only got symptoms of the fast itself.

I have had to quit 100 times before the muscle for quitting even began to form. I have kids to motivate me so I can understand someone with a lack of motivation being unable to quit but also being around people who smoke while you are quitting is always difficult, and relapses are much more liable to happen.

I'm quitting tobacco after 13 years and I feel so weird... It's just a weird feeling. I think it's anxiety and my emotions are everywhere I get super light headed and dizzy super just off. I don't like it but I think it'll pass eventually. I just need to get past it. I'm on day 9.

Man I quit vaping 3 weeks ago and I thought it would be extremely difficult. Idk if I’m missing anything but it was actually incredibly easy for some reason. Day 1 was pretty shitty but after that it was smooth sailing because im just a busy person and kinda forgot about it. The thought of taking a hit still pops up a few times a day but it’s really not an intense craving or anything and the thought just goes away after a few seconds. WAYYY easier than quitting weed atleast for me, I thought it would be the total opposite. I know everyone’s different but, yall got this
