Make McDonalds Hashbrowns at Home | A Cook Named Matt

In this video I will be going over Mcdonalds Hashbrowns!!
Flakey Salt
Ingredients:
-4 Large Russet Idaho Potatoes
-3 lbs butter or enough to cover
-canola oil for frying
-salt to taste
-shred russet potatoes with a grater and drain excess liquid.
-melt butter in a pot and toss potatoes in once reaches about 250°F
-cook on medium heat for about five minutes.
-strain potatoes and reserve butter for anytime cause its potato butter now! So good.
-spread potatoes evenly on a plastic wrap lined sheet tray and cover with plastic.
-set another sheet tray on top and put something heavy on it then toss in the fridge overnight.
-cut into desired shapes the next day, this is how I made tater tots in one of my old videos.
-chill in freezer for about an hour. Can be held in freezer until needed as well.
-fry in canola oil with a deep pot at 350°F until Golden Brown and delicious.
-enjoy !
