Today's video covers exercises we often prescribe in physical therapy for improving balance and reducing fall risk. These exercises are based on tests that are performed as a part of the Berg Balance Scale, which is the primary assessment used in physical therapy to assess balance and fall risk.

Performing these exercises on a daily basis can help improve your balance and reduce your risk of suffering a fall. Please make sure to perform them in a safe environment and with a wall or other sturdy structure nearby to catch if you were to lose your balance.

Hello, I was just wondering how turning the head will help make the exercise challenging? I understand how closing their eyes would as it would take one of their balance system out and make it harder. Thank you!

Hi, the LCL side of my knee, every once in a while, only hurts when I take my weight off of it. I can stand on one leg without pain. Just lifting my leg to take a step is really painful. I've searched for answer but search engines don't understand question(s). Help please?
