___________________________________
To Be Clear: German shepherds are wonderful dogs. They are good companions and they are loyal and fearless. Their behavioral features and excellent intelligence distinguish them even more. GSDs succeed in nearly everything they're trained to do, including guide and assistance work for the disabled, police and military duty, herding, search and rescue, drug detection, competitive obedience, and, last but not least, true companionship. As a German Shepherd owner, there are some things you must never do to ensure you get the best outcome, and in this video, we will talk about 5 things you must never do to your German Shepherd.

Im 72 and had GSD's all my life. There is no better breed on the planet as long as you treat them right. With love and patience.

My son bought me my GSD when I failed to commit suicide!
She’s 18 months old now and is so clever at understanding my needs I’m going out three times a day now and managing to talk to strangers in a positive way
The doctor understands that I take her everywhere and has made a note on my file that she is my service dog, this just kind of happened naturally and for the first time in years I go shopping by myself and my life has opened up hugely
My problem is PTSD due to my time in the military and I have anger issues and anxiety I managed to convince myself that everyone is a idiot and not worth spit now I have other dog walkers I enjoy having brief conversations with
It is not a exaggeration to state that my GSD has saved my life

My beautiful Kia is my 9th GSD. My first lived to 15.5 and I thought she could never be wasn't...they are all wonderful and different and now in my 70's I am told I should go for a smaller dog but no thank you. I will stay with Shepherds till my dying day if at all possible. They are the best breed on this earth

My wife and I rescued a beautiful Schutzhund GSD off of the street. Skinny, no toe nails, and very street wise. So skinny, ... after 10 days of the best dog food you can buy, I came home to 10, ... yes, 10 puppies!
We had to hustle to get the proper winter set up. Cedar chips, enclosed igloo, and heating pad for the pups. We lost 3 because of a huge winter storm that dropped temps to below 0°F. Cie-Cie layed on them. But the other 6 did well.
We've kept 3 of the pups. They will be 2 years old in December. Females are Miss Texas, and Faith. Panzer is our big boy. He's already 95 lbs. of lean muscle.
Cie-Cie is 80 lbs. of pure Protection Dog.
Very jealous of any other female being around me. She's not hurt any of our other dogs or cats, and prefers the company of our 18 lb. male cat "Maximilian".
I grew up with a 135 lb. great-great-great Grandson of Rin Tin Tin. I thought nothing could compare with the love that dog had for my Dad, but I was wrong. Cie-Cie's sleeping beside me as I write this. I pray the old saying "All dogs go to Heaven" is true.
God Bless y'all's GSDs, and yourselves.
Alpha male signing off.

My two GSDs, Max and Sasha, were my best friends and when they died, 16 months apart, it nearly killed me!
RIP Max and Sasha! You are surely missed!

I am a new GSD owner. My 5 month old puppy is quite literally the best thing that has happened to me. We have always had golden retrievers and I love them as well, but my GSD is much more loyal, protective and affectionate than my goldens ever were ❤ I will always have this breed from now on

I'm currently walking and training a 2 yr old Shepherd who is just the most gentle soul I've ever met in a dog bar one. It's taken me a couple of months to fully win her respect, love and loyalty but it has been so worth it and I'll be gutted when this routine comes to an end. So much so I am currently looking for a Shepherd of my own to bring up to hopefully be her match and my very own constant companion. I've had numerous dogs before but this one really has gotten into my heart in a big way.

Yes, they are a Loyal, Trusting, Loving Working Companion! She Loves to not only run, play, Retrieve, and work, our Lucy Loves to carry in Groceries and carry a bag of garbage to the dumpster! We Love GSD'S ...our Lucy is Exceptional! She from a young age Loves to sing Happy Birthday whether she hears us sing it or hears it on a video...she is the best howler, she can say Mom and Mama when she needs something and she gives little random kisses on our hands or legs when she appreciates things done for her! Thank you Lucy for being the Best! We Love you!

I’m in my 50’s and live alone, no wife or kids.i have had three rescue German Shepherds so far.everything you said has pretty much spot on.they thrive on routine and structure.when I go to work I have to leave them for 8 hours at a time and hate to have to do it.but when I’m not at work we spend every minute together and get a lot of physical and mental exercise.it can be done if you work.they truly are a special breed.

Ive raised pitbulls all of my life. They are good pups as well. I got a German Shepherd a couple of weeks ago. She is one who right out amazes me. She loves me like no other. Never leaves my side. She gets well taken care of here. Well behaved. The Lord Jesus has to be helping me with her. The people who i got her from. They obviously didn't know what they had. Nearly starved her to death. She was covered in her shit. Skin and bones. I took her home gave her a bath brushed her and been feeding her good snacks and her food. She's looking awesomely well now and she's one of the most well behaved loving pups I've ever had. 1 of the most loyal dogs I have ever seen in my life. She's one of kind. I feel that the Lord Jesus sent me to her. Because he knew that I would take good care of her. The way that she is with attitude and all. Its gotta be the Lord Jesus helping me with her. I don't know how to explain it any other way. She's definitely got a good and forever home here.

My GSD is a lifesaver, she was a rescue, she was terribly abused, when we went to see her, her left front lagg was in a cast, broken ribbs, and so malnourished her survival was extremely low, we got her at 5 years old, she now over 8, extremely energetic, 80 pounds, in perfect shape, she loves the horses, and great with are little Shitzu, she is fiercely protective, we put her on a leash when company comes, she doesn't bite, but jumps and barks, it scares people, she goes everywhere with us, she loves the boat, she loves to go hunting with us and she is very good with kids, I am a GSD owner for life now

The caring comments say it all.For intelligence, loyalty, courage etc this breed excels.I am 80 this year and have raised and loved 9 shepherds.Last week we lost number 9, she was a good age 12 years . Have seen an advert for pure breed Shepherds, so will be giving them a ring.
