Little ratbags bury themselves deep in your heart. They have massive personalities

I've had dachshunds in my life for 42 years now. I currently am the proud owner of 8 of them. Each one is unique in their own way but they are all the most loving and devoted to me. They love to get themselves buried under the blankets as well as they love to bark. They are great hunters with no fear and are definitely a pack that will stick with each other and they don't back down. I could write a book on their adventures.

We bought sisters as pups. One lived to be 15, the other was 18. They were and still are part of our family. They were so smart and had wonderfully expressive and totally different personalities. Thinking of them brings joy and tears at the same time.

They can be very stubborn at times. Plus hard headed too. But I love my Dachshund !!

I have had the wonderful pleasure of having a standard female dachshund for thirteen+ years. She was so devoted to me it was amazing.
Sadly she passed away this passed July.
I miss her very much.
I am up in years and doubt I will ever have such a friend again.
It is difficult to write this message.
It is true and honest.
I wish everyone could have a friend like Lolly.
She will be remembered for the rest of my days.
Thank you for a very good video

I’ve owned many different breeds of dogs in my 75 years. I now proudly have my 3rd Dachshund! They are wonderful pets. Extremely smart, very devoted, loving, sensitive (feelings get hurt easily), but wonderful companions! They can be stubborn from time to time but you can work around that. I LOVE, LOVE them. If I were physically able I would have 2 or 3 more. I also have a 14 year old Pekingese who has been blind about 3 years. My Dachshund is so caring and patient with him. He amazes me the ways he tries to assist my blind dog. Dachshunds are the BEST!! ❤️❤️

I don’t have a dachshund but my client that I clean for does and he has stolen my heart. He can’t wait for me to come play with him! I believe that he thinks I’m coming there just for him. And he’s a stinker ! Steals all my rags, shoes, my lunch ( I think he thinks I brought the lunch for him) but I can tell he is very very smart and he’s thinking all the time. The room I iron in has a bed right next to the board which he lays and watches me iron ( soooo cute, who watches somebody iron clothes) but then he has to come on my iron board and lay there and give kisses and wash his tail like crazy. I think he’s telling me to take a break and go play outside with him! He’s also very very fast!!!! No joke but he’s faster than a speeding bullet!!!

We got two sisters, one a black and tan with thick short coat and her sister chocolate with thin coat. These are our third set, so we know our joy and problems ahead. I can't our lives without these stubborn, loving, loyal little entertainers.

Beautiful and useful video. I think, Dachshunds are one of the best dog breeds in every way. Beautiful, sweet, smart, playful, funny, loyal, ... They are ideal company for every human being ♥️

I love my Dachshund! I rescued her in 2014 and she is now 10 1/2 yrs. old. She has such a unique, silly personality. She loves to cuddle, sleep in the bed with me, and follow me room to room. I love this pup with all of my heart!

My little guy lived for 18 years. Very difficult personality for sure but a loyal friend for life. If you just do everything she said, plus lots of love, they tend to be very low maintenance dogs. We miss him daily.

I just lost my little Izzy Beth. The whole farm misses her. She was bossy, funny, loving, caring, highly energetic, and definately made sure the family and other dogs kept active. It is a huge loss in our lives.

I dog sat for a couple who had a dachshund and it truly found a unique place in my heart. The breed is like having a naughty toddler 😂😂 I’m now going to own a dachshund myself . I must be insane 😂🤣

My mini dachshund surprisingly only eats when he’s hungry. I did not train him to do that, he did that from day one when I brought him home. I was worried at first that that he wasn’t eating enough before I went to work cause I would barely give him any (as to not feed him too much) and he sometimes still would bot eat it all. And now, I just leave his bowl full and he goes to it and eats when he wants. I usually refill his bowl every two days because that’s when he empties it completely. He’s also not overweight. He weighs just alittle over 12 lbs and is complimented by the vet each visit 🥰

We have a Dox and it is one of the most amazing dogs in the world. He is so funny and loving. We can't believe the energy he has. He loves his walks and requires them daily or he gets upset.

I have a miniature Doxie/rat terrier mix. She is quiet, so cuddly, funny and a little food monger. I lost my son four years ago and I honestly don't think I would have survived without her. She is my emotional lifeline. I love her more than people.

Dachshund is from the German, "Dachs" /Dox/ meaning "badger" and Hund /hoont/ meaning "hound". So the correct pronunciation is "Dox-hoont".
