If you’re a Microsoft Word user, you’re probably familiar with the mail merge feature. But did you know you can use mail merge to easily group data together on the same page? In this tutorial, I’ll walk you through the steps of how to mail merge by grouping data multiple records on the same page.

We’ll start by creating a data source. This data source will contain the information you’d like to merge. Once you’ve created your data source, you’ll want to make sure it’s in the correct format for mail merging. Then, you’ll open a new document in Word and insert a mail merge field. This field will be used to group the data from the data source.

Next, you’ll select the option to group the data from the data source.

This Video address one of the common task at workplace. It is using Mail Merge feature of MS Word with Excel file in such a way that Mail Merge generates pages by grouping, means multiple records on same page based on a particular field value and it also shows how column values be added at run time.

Change IF Function shown in the video with the the following, that will take care of single line record
=IF(B2=B3,1,IF(COUNTIF($B$2:$B$14,B2)=1,2,0))

While entering bill no or value from mail merge you are getting data in {} and we are getting in <>, also after set id code if i am inserting amount it is becoming blank

Hey, I'm trying to make a marksheet using mail merge.. but there is one issue. There are Six subjects and the condition is - least marks scored by the student is not calculated for Percentage and that subject is supposed to be in the last row. How can I do that?
All the data is ready but when mail merging, the subject row wont be static and will be different for each student depending on the marks scored. Plz help

Hi I have a one problems of mail merge. I use your this video but not find solutions of my problem. I have discussed with lots of IT professionals but not getting solution. Now you are my last hope.
I am working in FMCG sector in supply chain and send to pending material details against my orders.currently i make filter and send data. And I have almost 1000 vendors and send mail in this manner can take 3-4 days. I want use email merge technique for this. I have multiple rows of one particular person and same email address of that. I use mail merge then mail goes against one row and I want one mail with multiple rows. Please help

This is a really great video. I have to do something similar at my job, but the table that I have to attach in the body of the email is transposed. Which means that the Row 1 has all of my client's invoices (1 invoice per column), and in row 2 I have all of the amounts (one amount per column). Can I group records using the method explained in the video in my scenario? I've tried but it hasn't worked
