Could you do a video on what to recycle and what to compost? I notice that a lot of people really waste their recyclables because they are not doing it correctly (like washing out bottles before throwing it in the bin) and maybe some recycling hacks? Or some ways to reuse common plastic things?

I deleted Twitter. Best move ever!!! I was obsessed with ‘keeping up’ and would feel responsible for other people by having to like their tweets and do you know what? It’s fine. The world still turns. Life was so much simpler before social media. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing but just that it should not be the only thing. Hugs x

I am currently going through my own capsule wardrobe! I have slimed it down to about 60ish items for all year round clothing and am going to try to slim it down to 30-40. I am sooo happy you mentioned that tip! I live with my parents and am trying to *slowly and carefully 😅* introduce them to the minimal impact movement. Can't thank you enough for the great videography and tips.

Much love from the currently stormy and flooded Metro Manila, Philippines 😘

The tip about going through your cupboard and freezer was really helpful! It's actually just common sense but since I only recently moved out I often feel overwhelmed when it comes to making my own food and buying and storing it. I would love to know what simplified meals you make <3 sending lots of good vibes your way!

I have really started questioning my purchases recently and it really has helped me reduce the amount of stuff I am purchasing. (although I’ve purchased a load of stuff this month because I’m getting in all of the supplies to make all of my own Christmas presents this year) but more generally I have hugely reduced what I purchase because I now can’t stand having clutter in the house either!

Hi there!
I've been following your channel for sometime, but as someone who doesn't really take much part in social media I have never commented, and recently that has felt ungrateful of me not to say THANK YOU! I am pretty new in my vegan, zero waste and generally ethical awareness journey, and you and you're channel have helped me tremendously in so many ways, from the informative prespective as well as the motivation and positive outlook you have when it all gets to be kind of too much. I've always been the kind to get overwhelmed by "the big bad world" and have a very all or nothing approach, which I've been trying to change, and you're way of discussing these issues has really helped. Thank you for dedicating your time to these crucial issues, and to helping us do that too.
I personally come from outside of the UK or US, and have been having a lot of trouble really finding people and movements locally that discuss these issues, offer places to buy, and I feel kind of at loss at how to figure things out locally, and I am assuming that when you were just starting out you were in a similar position. I also am a little at loss with really understanding how to know where things come from in order to make the right choices. The other day I watched The True Cost, which has been so eye opening, and od course I want to make a change yet I feel like I don't truly know how to do the research leading up to each purchase I make- to find out if it's vegan, fair trade, low impact ect. I was wondering if you have any tips on how to really do that research, find viable information that isn't based only on this blog post or that.
Thank you so so much, again. (I know this message is long and I doubted for a long time if you would have any interest in it, but after watching your last video where you mention getting negative feedback, I figured you deserve to get all the thanks I have)
One last point- I don't know you personally and won't pretend to, but I want you to know that the very refreshing fact that your videos do not start ever by you stating your name really shows something about your humility. It is beautiful to me.
Have a good day (and sorry for the rant- been a long time coming!)

Minimalism, vintage style, sustainability are three things that I met in the past year and that seem to go well together.
Thank you and all the people that inspired me and made me learn more ☺

Wow, loads of great suggestions! I've been working on several of those areas and I haven't gotten very far yet, but I'm going to try some of your ideas to see how I do. Loved everything you had to say, thanks! And, on a side note, I'm heading to London in November, with a friend, to celebrate my 60th birthday. Can't wait!

I declutterd my phone yesterday and it feels so good! I dont have so many apps on my phone like shopping apps anyway but there was kinda still too much on there. I feel more free when I declutter. I sorted out so many clothes this summer and things in my room.

Great video, really helpful. I think you're right - it's all about building habits, and writing things down helps a lot. Your memory power is only so strong, so writing things down is a great way to follow where you're at

Great tips. I really like the first one about the freezer- I know I'm guilty of throwing stuff in there only to forget about it and throw it out months later! Thanks for making this video :)

That's an interesting point about the shopping apps. Im not into fast fashion, never have been but I do use amazon a lot. I think though that it cuts down on the temptation of mooching round the shops!!
