My mom did this to her boyfriend when I was growing up. When she met him he was a *happy* manager at a grocery store. This wasn't good enough for her, so she 'inspired' him to become a builder and start his own remodeling business, since he was handy at things around the house. She recommended him to all her friends to fix their homes and it was a big disaster with things going wrong or not made right. Lots of drama. It was definitely her making him be something he was not. After they broke up, he went back to being a manager at a grocery store and was exceedingly happy there.

I've always encouraged, given ideas because I've see the potiental based on their visions. They had npd and didn't want me to say anything. They were set in their ways. I don't force or push anyone to do anything they are not interested in.

I had a wonderful guy and in every way he was great..but he had a dirty little secret that I caught him in. Porn addiction. He opened up to me about it.
