It's simple. Only two kind of people exist in this world. Those who know that this song do exist, and those who do not. And i realy feel sad for the last kind.

Alan, although you will probably never read this I need to say real fans of DM know what a genius you are. Basically every video with DM its fans either gushing over you or begging you to come back. The soul of DM left when you left. No money in the world can replace how incredibly loved you are.

Yes I know Depeche Mode is forever evolving. But I'm sad they left that construction site sound behind. Best songs from that era, and it showcased their almost supernatural ability to work with synthesizers and samplers.

A lot of Emulator. Tons of Emulator. Great use of Emulator. The power of God is expressed by the Emulator samples. I’m down on my knees praying to be an Emulator owner. Long life to the Emulator makers.

I remember buying it on cassette . Would play this song over and over. Great song and album.

This song clearly demonstrates that Alan is Alan.
From the beginning ... the ingenious sound of Depeche Mode.
Masterpiece forever

AW's composition definitely one of the highlights of this album

Gonna say this even if it seems contrary...
This has to be one of the most deliciously sleazy songs ever. Just something about the lyrics and the way they fit the bubbly but somewhat sinister music. Something very "Clockwork Orange" about it all. Just shut your eyes and listen to that intro. The tune chugs along almost poppily, but with a jarring undercurrent. Makes me feel all over again like the rebellious and slightly gauche teen I was when first discovering this music.

The industrial theme for this song sounds so badass! Very underrated song that should had gotten more attention. Love the synth bass sounds very much.

Started thinking about this song out of nowhere and came to find so many comments from other fans who know it well. Mr.Wilder is well missed to say the least. I wonder if he'd be surprised to know that fans are still singing THIS song in their heads in 2023...

My favorite part is that breakdown outro from 3:36 through the end. Ominously arousing and powerfully forboding. This is multi-layered rythmic genius.

been there from
the beginning.
Truly an amazing

Sheer brilliance... Alan was my favourite member back in the classic days

Funny confession though... Back when I was young and this first came out this was one of my least favourite tracks on the album. As I grew and reached middle age, it is quite frankly my favourite on the album.
Ah, maturity and growth... fascinating things :)

It's incredible that 80s' Depeche Mode sounded like video game soundtracks from the 90s. The part from 2:09 has similar sounds like Crash Bandicoot trilogy. That were WAY AHEAD of their time.
