Maybe the bitterness comes from feeling betrayed even more so, by a narcissist choosing a new supply who appears to be or have nothing the narcissist "claimed" they wanted or would ever be interested in.
However, you do make a good point. What is this new person supplying the narcissist and the narcissist is not looking for stability with one person. I appreciate you saying that.
That's what we may never understand.
I no longer care about the new supply.
All I care about, now, is that I'm finally out of that situation and recovering from it. HalleluYah

I wasn't a jealous person when we met. All the triangles she created, gas lighting and head games changed all that. Still it seemed she always found a bigger looser each time she cheated. Lower morals, less integrity, lower standards. Still after a few months I could see the misery on them. And I would think "bet they have a new found respect for me."

My resentment came from the fact that they started an affair with a much younger person and that it was my cousins baby's mom lol. The nightmares too Ahhh

Whenever I hear somebody say the word downgrade, it shows me that they aren't a good hearted person n they have lot of work to do in themselves.
To think you're better than someone because you're more attractive is nothing less than grandiosity of a narcissist.
