I just quit my job they had to hire two additional people to replace me. Our biggest customer in the state starting buying different equipment so far its up to 20 machines in the next 10 years for 8 million. Now they're looking at replacing other types of machines which would be 6 machines for 3 million. And gets it better they're part of a group and for the most part what this place does all the rest does. So those numbers will at least double over the next 10 years. All because they wouldn't hire another person as if they cared about my 150% "utilization rate" or how often I worked per day, where most of the company is 60-80%...

I don’t understand why this is so hard for so many people. Your employees are your most valuable and most important resource. If you take care of them they will take care of you. And if you go above and beyond for them they will do the same for you. If you have good people which it’s not actually hard to find good people. You pay them right and treat them right and you’ll find good people.

I got fired from my last job because despite my best efforts, I couldn't keep up with the workload. The place was a disaster when I got there, and I spent six months just organizing everything so actual work could be done. I found out near the end that it was intended for at least two people, but I was asked to do it alone. Ironically, on the way up to the meeting where I got fired, one of the customers told me she'd been watching everything I was doing the past few months and thanked me for keeping everything running so smoothly for them.

Fast forward a few months, and I heard through the grapevine that the supervisor who was so eager to fire me eventually inherited my entire workload. Apparently, one day he called HIS supervisor crying hysterically because, you guessed it, he couldn't handle the workload alone.

Be good to your workers and they'll be good to you.

My job used google sheets for a lot of basic stuff. I had made spreadsheets shipping, employees efficiency and bonus tracking, and device related information, as well as programs to automate warranty claims, getting marketing data, and other tasks. All of which used my email to authentication and track what it did.

I was sick of my terrible pay and them ignoring my requests for a well deserved raise. So i quit on the spot in a meeting. My manager was shaking when he shook my hand, and just left the room with me all alone. So i go to my desk and pack up and walk out to my car.

When i got to my car my email was already deleted. I smirked knowing almost everything i ever made just stopped working and its like 30 minutes before everyone is going home.

They definitely lost at least half a million after fixing the mess and the opportunity cost of all that marketing data and software being lost

Here in Aus if you try to fire a person in the Armed forces reserves or volunteer emergency services organisations you get into a lot of shit from the government

i always love looking at the companies that actually care for their employees, and then see how successful they are when times are tough and times are very busy. they keep on going.

NOW think about how much value we ALL produce for employers. Think about how much they give you back. Pennies on the dollar!! We need to work to support our community sharing so that we can stand up against systematic theft without fearing for our lives.

I quit my job at a grocery store after 2 years of hard working. I applied 10 times to be supervisor, got the trainer position to make my application more valuable (even tho they were promoting other employees. Younger and less experienced)
On the 10th refusal, I texted my partner: they refused me again. I’ll quit

I told the supervisor in charge who was a friend, and said that he would had to make arrangements to replace me for the closing, he called the manager and she had to come physically in the store to help with the closing because they were missing an essential employee

People’s egos are what generally kill the business. My department got shut down after I was replaced. Something about a person only doing 1-2 cars a day vs the average 4-6 didn’t look good in the metrics

I ran the place i worked at for 12 years. They decided that they wanted someone with more education and experience. They lasted about 1.5 years and now they're out of business. And my replacement is out to destroy another business.

I didn't quit I got fired. Manager had slowly been increasing my duties week by week for about 6months it had gotten to the point I could no longer complete all tasks in the 8hr work day, the first week I told her this and said I could work extra hours and I could use the money, she agreed and so that week i did about 7hrs of overtime, I didn't get paid for that 7hrs so the following week I just left at my finish time. After firing me for not doing all of "my" job 4 people had to be hired to do the work load.. they could have paid me 7hrs OT but instead paid 4x my wage

2 months ago, I quit my old job after the made me work 4 to 19, +on call evening and weekend while my coworkers (supervisor and her lesbian trouple partners) were complaining I did nothing at work... They had their little 8h a day, laughing and complaining together when I was exhausted. When I blew up, the played the victim, they were poor woman, etc.

I quit, one other abused one quit, whrining the team from 6, to 2 lazy bitches, 1 kind guy and a kind old man who also was exhausted and about to retire. From what I heard, they struggled to recruit people. The supervisor was demoted as well as tge other supervisor (one of her partner). They had to work my shift, were ostracized and the company is on the edge of loosing their client.

Me? Doing healthy, relaxed, and adapting

Good atmosphere in one of my previous jobs started deterioating quickly after some upper managment directors lied about my department director stirring up his employees against company. He was down to earth dude who rather than tell client some unrealistic delivery date and then making us work our asses off and not making in time, talked real and client respected him for that. After firing him our department shrinked form 30 to like 5 people, me beeing one of the last to leave. All know-how was lost. New hires (if any) needed lot of time to figure out everything by themselfes. Company is drowning in debts and fines for deleaying deployment of critical nationwide infrastructure. They reached some of former employees and agreed to any terms to come back as consultants. Now they saw true value of us and lot of guys got pay twice or even three times higher than before, often working only part time, as they were already hired somewhere else (so per hour rise could be even 10x)

I never quit instantly, giving my notice, training my replacements and working those weeks. One job was in retail, worked there for years, in basically every department, sometimes taking care of 1/4 of the big shop in downtown of the capital city. Before quitting I was working in the alcohol section. And my dep had the best sales numbers and lowest theft. After i left, sales dropped 40% due to not stocking shelves properly and the theft went up 30% 😂 i recently worked in a company dealing with imported cars from US/unloading them from containers, i was the guy checking vins, taking photos, working on getting power up so i could close the windows and lock the cars.. Super fast paced work. And my bosses kept adding jobs, thinking my job was easy, even when i raised the question that i don't even have time to go take a piss ... When i left, at one point they had to stop all work and just try to figure out how the hell i managed to do all that workload so fast... The foreman, who i got along with even called me and just asked "man, how the hell did you manage all? We had no idea how much actually you were doing" 😂

220, 000 sq foot warehouse and factory with constant LTL and OTR traffic. Went from one of 5 operators on my shift to the only one. Business had slowed slightly, although I was completely stretched thin, missing breaks to make sure we weren’t fined by missing loads, or late delivering product to customers. Kept arguing with my higher ups who wouldn’t give me a pay raise to go with my title change. Stayed long enough for our largest customer to put in an order. Hundreds of people would accept the material and work on it until we shipped it. I left abruptly. They used a temp who claimed to have forklift expirience and destroyed 3 paper rolls worth 60k each. Now the business is doing terrible, they have 2 people doing half of what I did when I worked there 😂
