The exact same thing happened to me! I quit my job because everyone was telling me "when you jump, the universe jumps with you".... gave up my full time job and the universe did NOT jump with me haha! Went back to a regular job whilst building my business and I held so much shame around it for a while, but now I'm owning it.

Hold the vision, trust the process.

Weirdly enough, I also quit my corporate job 2 years ago, BUT I didn't become successful in my primary business. Not every "quit my job" story is a fairy tale, unfortunately. I'm thinking of starting another business instead of my existing one. If I must, I'm going back part-time or freelancing, but never again on a corporate job. Too old to bear with that corporate... thing.

As long as you work a 9-5, you’ll never get paid what you’re worth.

I have always quit my job when I have HD enough. I learnt early on that continuing to peruse something that makes you incredibly unhappy is effort not well spent. If anyone is reading this and scared of the prospect of quitting, please back yourself and go for it. Your life won’t fall apart, it’s not the end of the world, you will find a way and be better for it

My dad quit his government job to start his own business too. You know, be his own boss, no one to order him around

I dread going to work. It’s literally make me sick. It’s mentally exhausting and everytime i go home im knocked out. The kind of job that creeps up to your bones and can’t sleep after because i always think i might have made mistakes and be in trouble. Wrking in a corporate auditing firm. Im an introvert. I want to work in peace, something with a decent pay that i can make enough living, wrk with less stress. I wanted to work where i feel happy in my wrk environment and the kind of wrk that is simple. I learned that its not the “fancy” title that makes us happy. White collar with high paying job doesn’t always equal happiness.

I got laid off this year and I learned that having only one income stream can be dangerous. So I started this channel and building multiple income stream. Thank you Vanessa for motivating us and inspiring us who are on the similar path.

"I would rather work at a coffee shop than work at a corporate job."

Ouch, that hits hard. 😕

Notes :

Fear of starting over
Quiting is not a bad thing
Quiting takes a lot of courage
What you aren't changing, you're choosing
When you say "No" to something, you are saying "yes" to something else
You're capable of doing new things

MANTRA : I am capable of doing hard things

It's okay to start over

GROWTH IS NOT DESIGNED TO BE EASY

Result of growth is amazing but the process does take time and effort

IF YOU ARE AFRAID TO SAY OUT LOUD THE THING THAT YOU WANT TO DO, THEN DO IT

YOU HAVE SILENT SUPPORTERS

p.s :- Please be kind🙂

I just put my notice in two weeks ago. My last day is this Friday. Lot's of mixed emotions.

I needed to hear this message today. I quit a high profile, executive corporate level job because it didn’t align with my values anymore. It was a big hit to the ego and I’ve been spending my time thinking about how I want to start over and live the life I want to leave. Recently been thinking I might have made a mistake and should go back into a role that I’m familiar with only because it would stop me thinking I’ve failed. Your message today has given me inspiration to stick with the new vision and push towards that. Thanks.

I'm not as courageous as you! I still have my 8-5 job and plan to stay there for at least another 6 months as I grow my channel, online business, and real estate portfolio.

As someone who is struggling in a 9-5 where anxiety about how I will survive the next quarter or week even at my job fills my mental space everyday... this was so refreshing to hear. I’m grateful that with covid I have something that at least is paying the bills, but I want to thrive and it is truly touching hearing about your experience in achieving that

Never saw quitting as a weakness. It all comes down to personality types. If you know deep down that you're the type of person who gives their all, then quitting simply becomes recognition of the need to change the routines and having faith in your ability to somehow get there, by not wasting more time & energy. That clip of you breaking down was exactly me yesterday, after being frustrated & overwhelmed with myself for not understanding things & going in circles! I needed to take a break since to recoup, calm down and pace myself. Your video really validates my emotions & fears and gives me exactly the messages I needed to hear. Thank you sweet angel. 🙏
