Quitting a job isn’t hard part, , the hard part is to find another job

I quit my job a year ago at age 57. I lived at my house next to the woods like I was on a camping trip and saved 75% of my income. My coworkers made jokes about me and laughed at me for living that way. Now I laugh at them because they have to work and I don't.

Remember that in ANY job you are in or ANY position within that job, you are expendable.
Never live for a job as if it's your life because they can and will get rid of you in a heartbeat if they need to.

All jobs get boring eventually. I was bored being a fighter pilot for 20yrs. I quit and got into business. I enjoyed having time for myself, played golf and made money. So I agree with these findings. However everyone does not have the luxury to quit and survive monetarily. So weigh your options and your situation and then make a calculated decision. Chances are it'll work out.

Don’t quit your day job until you’ve replaced that income with multiple income streams... especially if you got mouths to feed.

I took your advice and quit the corporate world to work as a bike mechanic. It was hard at 1st because I had to accept a huge pay cut so to make ends meet, I worked a 2nd job for 3 years. After 3 years after all the hard work, I've been promoted to Assistant Store Manager & Service Manager working in the industry and the job I love. It was hard at 1st but if you can sit down and write down your goals and a plan to reach it, it's possible. It's difficult, but not impossible. Now I just work 1 job which is the one I love working in a bike shop. When I decided to do this, I was already married, have a kid, and a mortgage to pay. Sit down with your spouse and talk it over, write down goals and execute it. I know it sounds cheesy, but it is doable. If I can do it, you can as well. It feels great to wake up everyday excited to go to work doing what you love and making a living out of it. Its like being on vacation everyday.

I retired at 39. Life is good and I am extremely happy. People don’t understand it, they ask me what I do all day. I say “ what ever I want! “ Thanks for the video. Just a reminder of how lucky I am!

The REAL advice is to save money early and often so you can not work and also not be homeless.

I first saw this video 8 months ago and it helped me realise I was living a lie. I was in a job I didn't like, lived in an apartment that was tiny, eating fast food constantly as I was always in a hurry. But now that's a distant memory. Now I'm on welfare, sleep outside wherever I choose and eat from trash cans of my choosing. I'm so grateful of the freedom this video has given me.
