Agreed, being super sore or in pain after a workout means I will not workout the next day. These are some great tips thank you!

Love that you talk about the mental affecting the physical...I've found that to be so true!

You're absolutely right, that weight loss is tied so closely to managing stress. If you're stressed you're not going to eat or sleep as well. Exercise helps with stress relief. I am 6 months post partum and I love your content, its helped me so much and I watch your videos when I'm awake with baby!

I would love to see more videos in 2025 of different routine ideas, journaling and planning, and high protein meal prep ideas. Love you Katie!

Thank you for sharing these insights, Katie. They are not what people usually think about when trying to lose weight and body fat. Sleep has definitely been a game changer for my journey. So excited for this meal plan and 30 day challenge!

For past 6 years I’d been maintaining on keto, working as a night shift RN, doing ok as a travel nurse. When COVID hit, I really started to put in a lot of extra work - I was traveling 4 hours to work - so I’d get up at 1 pm, be out the door by 2 pm, drive for 4 hours to Atlanta then have to work my 12 hour night shift then I’d work 4 more 12 hour night shifts in a row, then after that last night shift I’d get in my car and start driving home for as long as I could stay awake. I’d usually make it for about 2 hours then have to pull over and sleep in my car for a few hours then finish my drive getting home to see my son and my dogs then the next day I’d drive to see my boyfriend and his dogs then the next I started it all over again. I did this for about a year. I didn’t do this every week - sometimes I just worked a mere 36 hours in a week. Oh - and I was on a Covid floor. Every single patient had Covid so I’ll let you guess how stressed I was. I actually didn’t put any weight on during this time - primarily stayed on keto but didn’t get to exercise very much. I was around a size 2.
Then my terrible joints (I have severe osteoarthritis and I knew I I was approaching the end of my nursing career and I was trying to put my children through college so this is why I was pushing myself so hard) started to get worse and worse. I also pretty much went into full menopause at 61. My RN career ended. My pain was terrible. The pain doc I had was a cookbook doctor - that means everyone gets the same medicine and same treatment no matter what. I did end up getting a new doctor. When you have to see a pain doctor you have to be careful in that even if you are dissatisfied with your care, you can’t just look for a new physician right away or the perception is that you are “doctor shopping to get drugs”. I was very fortunate to find an excellent anesthesiologist and NP’s who very knowledgeable as well as respectful of my knowledge base as a RN of 35 years. Only negatives are that pain appointments are usually out of pocket - even if I did have insurance which I did not. I had applied for disability and the long wait without any income began. I won’t bore you but it was a long dark year with menopause causing a lot of my issues that I didn’t recognize as the issue - I only knew I had out on 50 lbs of weight and couldn’t get it off. The boyfriend told me he wasn’t attracted to me but couldn’t understand why I wasn’t interested in sex - which I was made to feel less than a prostitute when I did do so so that was also quite awful too. Found out that he was cheating on me.
Anyway - I did get my disability, I did force myself out of my bed and put myself back on keto, it took awhile to lose the first 10 lbs. when I got some money again I made my health my priority and I decided to add ozempic - godsend! I’ve lost 41 lbs over 7 months using it plus keto, intermittent fasting and 1-2 meals a day. I plan on weaning off ozempic soon and coupon hormone replacement. Haven’t made life decisions yet as financially I need to save money to be independent again!

You have no clue how badly I needed this video!

I am doing everything right, but not losing an ounce😭 I have hypothyroidism, am on 50mg of Levothyroxine, my bloodwork in November was “perfect, ” but I’m still struggling and have no clue what to do anymore. I just need to lose 25-30 pounds
