I’d like to share something that’s helped me reduce my evening TV time: listening to podcasts on headphones instead. It’s stimulating enough to escape a bad mood, yet it keeps me up off the sofa and moving about - a step in the right direction.

One of the best tips: Put your phone in another room and work on your dream/hustle. The amount of times I think I’m going to check my phone for a quick distraction, or to actually look for something specific, only to find myself scrolling one hour later. Our phones are our biggest time wasters.

If you are tired, you should rest. When your body speaks to you in that way, you listen to it. This is why so many people present to the ER with all those events. You have one life. You have to pace yourself. Your health is your wealth indeed. If you have no health or poor health, you are forced to stop and solely focus on that. Preserve your health. That's the most important thing and overworking does not help that cause at all.

I honestly don't know how you speak so clearly and coherently for so long. Thank you for your honest and non-judgemental tips. They make me imagine the possible without feeling like a failure.

I saw this video and the next day, the moment I came home, changed into my workout clothes and exercised for 25 minutes before my brain could "convince" me to unwind on the sofa. Today is day 2 - changed and exercised. Bottom line: feeling good about life. Thank you! This was a helpful list!

That's exactly what I feel: Either I'm working or preparing for work. That has to change. I hope your methods will work for me.

Fabulous tips Nischa! Separating feelings from actions is definitely this perimenopausal woman’s mission 🌟 For those on the channel who have young children, I was a single mum to three children under 4years old. My survival tips- cook bulk meals and freeze portions, 10min speed clean every evening, get up early and exercise using free Utube videos and most importantly kids in bed by 7pm 😎 children need sleep, you need rest and down time too. Hope this helps someone 💜

What I have been doing for the last 2 weeks and it works really well for me - get up at 7 AM, go for morning run (1 km run + 2.5 km walk). back home - take a cold shower and I am in my office at 8:30 AM. I spend first 30 minutes reviewing yesterday and also planning ahead for the day. I allocated 9-11 AM to work on growing my business. Then, I get my breakfast between 11-12. From 12-2 pm I have my first block on client fulfilment and then 2:3:30 my workout / dance practice. 3:30 - 5:30 dedicated for the second block of client work. 5:30 - I am usually free. Yeah, I work 6 hours in a day and get done so much more.

What I love most about it - 2 hours dedicated to growing business in the morning. If I left it for the last block then I would be distracted by friend plans, family plans, going out, etc ... sure I could have 3rd block for client fulfilment but I don't need it at the moment as I complete everything I need within 4 hours a day.

Utilizing morning hours over evening ones is underrated but genius. I never thought my fresh morning mind could be worth so much. Morning hustle, here I come! ✨

Some good tips, but ultimately this is promoting a hustle and grind culture, there is really nothing wrong with scrolling on the sofa or binging Netflix, maybe not everyday but we need to normalise that we don’t need to be perfect everyday, maximising every minute of your time, hitting gym, working on side hustles etc, that’s not healthy either

If you plan on exercising at home after work (or any project really) I recommend playing "pump-up music" the moment you step through the door to get you in and keep you in the mood.

This is such good advice. One of the other things that worked for me is really aligning my work and my passions. Now whether I'm working my new day job, writing a book, and working on my YouTube channel, I rarely feel tired even though I'm working much more than before. I'm passionate about what I do and it's honestly feels more fun than it feels like work.

Running a small business I like to be up working early as you mentioned. I’m much better at getting things done and I feel it’s a quiet time of the day. I might get some downtime then I focus on my brand content and wrapping up business and customers. Once home I get content edited and uploaded then time to plan for the next day.
I definitely try to get things done but at a pace that works and doesn’t burn me out.
Great tips.

I really liked the idea about rewriting your default settings at 1:26.

I love the separate your actions from your mood. I have literally never thought of this.
And I don’t want to be this person BUT, we all have 24 hours, but they are not the same.

I find putting my phone apps and messages on Do Not Disturb in the evening helps! I will reply these leisurely conversations with friends once I choose to. Less distracting during a productive evening!

#1 is essential. I find that simply following that one doubles my productivity and makes life feel much easier. However, it doesn’t last for me. I get off track with it and then it seems impossible until a nice reminder like this video pops up. Thank you! You got me off the couch real quick:)

This is really great advice. Disconnecting mood and action. I don't know why I would push through work even though exhausted and meet the deadline, but I wouldn't do it for myself, for what truly matters to me.
