i have an o3ds with 64 gigs and my boot time is kind of slow but other than that it's the most important device i own and i take it with me everywhere, even to work lol. it's so worth the investment especially once you look at your library filling your home screen completely and you're like "damn this is legitimately endless entertainment"

Format it MBR with the partition formatted Fat32

I use a 256GB SD card. Used to have a 1TB for shits and gigs but I've since used that one for my switch. You just need to make sure the SD card uses an MBR partition table and Fat 32 file system, with 16kB clusters for ≤4GB, 32kB clusters for ≤16GB, and 64kB clusters for ≤128GB iirc. Wrong cluster size still works but makes loading slower and causes some graphical errors playing DS and GBA games off your SD card.

I did buy a 128gb (because I will also use it on my switch) and I just formatted it and it worked perfectly fine

In the time you did the "i did make a video showing how to do it linked..." You could have just said "you need to use a program like rufus to format the card to fat32"

I have a 128 GB card on my old 2Ds, the only downside is that the boot times suck on larger cards

Im using a 128gb microSD card formatted to FAT32, only real downside it takes a couple more seconds to boot up depending how much storage used on the microSD card

The max was 32gb because at the time you couldn't format an sd card to fat32 if it was bigger than 32gb but now you can get even a 16tb hdd to fat32 and use it for modding. I have a 2tb ssd on an og Xbox and i have a 128gb usb on my ps2 slim and but on the ps2 the time it takes to boot opl is 3 minutes after i loaded all tge 128gb so the more storage comes with this disadvantage and the fact that the max file size you can transfer is only 4gb

the reason why they say 32gb is because dave plumber added that stupid limit to formatting fat32 in windows, linux is better

Awww...i have 2 DSs coming in and 2 32gb SD cards since i read that was the max.

Maybe I'll upgrade later after i mod them.

I have a 128gb sd card in my 3DS XL and has all the games I want. No point I’m going higher as my 3DS has so much installed on it I can’t have anymore applications on the Home Screen.
