There was someone that tested to see how it would run on the old 3ds hardware by underclocking the new 3ds processor and limiting the ram and the game lagged so bad it was basically unplayable. Pretty much why this is a new 3ds only game.

I remember getting this, waiting 3 weeks for it to arrive, and when I paid with my own money, and would've been the first time owning minecraft. I had a 2ds. I was so disappointed lol

Couple of years ago my mom got me this game. I was so excited to see how Minecraft on 3ds played! I popped it in and got the, this is new 3ds software. You can not play, message. Still sad to this day :(

I remember getting this game at BestBuy one day for my old 3ds. I knew that it was for the new ones only, but I got it anyways.


Took it back to the store and the worker there let me trade it for 2 other games. 😎
