BTW DO NOT UPDATE YOUR 3DS EVERYONE. Edit: it won't brick an already modded device but it does patch most known exploits and prevents you from modding your system if you haven't already
2nd edit: if you've updated Luma3ds to its latest version you'll be ok, however avoid updating if it isn't already modded as it will be slightly harder on the older models

Just in case you are scared of bricking your console. Unless you are insanely dumb or are trying to brick your console then its insanely rare that you brick your console with the amount of support for Custom Firmware online.

Have modded my 3DS and Wii recently. No regrets! Finally can play games like Paper Mario Thousand Year Door which got crazy expensive. My Wii U is the next victim for modding😂

Well i do have one complaint, it’s that a lot of apps only work with the new types of models.

Before 3DS servers shut down that was the only reason, now there’s literally 0 reason not too

Worth noting that you can’t even brick your 3ds now unless you’re a complete idiot. And you can safely update to latest firmware.

I kinda do. My ds was bricked for a couple weeks because of something I ran on my ds, it was fixed but I was genuinely scared I lost everything on that ds for that time.
