I did this when diagnosed with FL disease and T2 Diabetes. I cut all sugar instantly, went on a low carb diet, added in protein and berries. Within 2 months I had reversed my fatty liver and T2D, now 25kg less and 3 years on both have not returned. What Dr Jason Fung says is spot on.

Is the same also for fruit? If I have 1 fruit portion at the end of the metal, Is It manageble with reversing pre-diabet? I'm struggling with 5.8 HA1c and 107 morning glucose - 20.8 BMI. Thanks a lot

I eat lots of fruits but raw. Not juice. Body treats fructose in juice and raw fruit differently beacuse of presence of layer if fiber that makes difficult for body to get to fructose and hence low insulin spike as compare to juice.

I really need somebody to help me with diet 😅 i have been on weight loss journey since 28/11. Its 22/12 today. When I first began I weighted about 59kg (Im 160cm) with about 33% body's fat. Then I learned about calories deficit and have been eating around 1300-1400 calories a day. After 2 week I weight 56.6kg and I have been maintaining that weight till now. Even though how much I tried, I still couldn't lose any weight. I didn't think I had plateau since plateau only appeared 2-3 monthes after people started taking their diet. My diet are pretty simple: I often start my day with 30gr of oatmeals and 50gr lean chicken and an egg. Then dinner I have a lot of veggies like broccoli, spinach, .. I don't eat white rice. I eat a lot of meat instead, mostly lean chicken, tofu and egg (all the things that contain a hight amount of protein) For snack I always have milk (the no sugar added one) with a grass jelly called "sương sáo" (it has no sugar either and mostly contain fiber) with fruits (around 100gr apples and 150-200gr watermelon) Then I read Dr Jason's book: the obesity code and now knowing about insulin and hormones and stuffs... I am wonder if watermelon and apple is also suitable for my diet too since they have kinda high amount of fructose. I have been weighing about 56.6 for 2-3 weeks with no signs of going down even tho how consistent I've been following my diet (I've cut out all of the junk food like snack, candy, milk tea...) So I wonder if there's anything wrong with my diet

Glucose and fructose are like the dollar and a piece of paper; they look the same, except the dollars are accepted everywhere; everyone wants it; that piece of paper? Not really! You need to recycle it ... the body recycles fructose at the liver and sends it out as triglycerides to be stored as fat deposits at the end!

No, cut all of the carbs you can. Treat carbs as though they are cigarettes.

Glucose is not addictive. You actually cannot overeat glucose. You tend to overeat fructose and overeat everything, as it is addictive and it kills your hunger hormone to make you always hungry.
