This is one of the best tips you will ever see in a comment on yt: Don't watch this kind of stuff, it can make you afraid and then it could happen. Just go watch some memes, funny video's or video's from your favourite content creator.

Hope this helps👍

For the past 10 years, I have been sleeping on my back and always sleeping way past my sleeptime. I am genuinely surprised this hasnt happened to me, and I hope those who do experience this feel better.

Peter: "This is worse than the time I had to watch a YouTube video about surviving Sleep Paralysis while having Sleep Paralysis.."

I've experienced sleep paralysis 3 times but only once did I have hallucinations. What's really surprising though is that, instead of monsters and shadows and all that stuff, I heard my mom's voice trying to sooth me. By this point I'd heard dreadful things about sleep paralysis but I never expected that hallucinations can also be something beautiful

I have experienced sleep paralysis so many times. Lying on my back with both hands under the neck causes it to happen. And trying to move my feet fingers is the best and quickest way to come out of it with least effort. It is my personal experience.

Tips:
1. Meditation ( deep breathing )
2. Wash your feet with cold water before sleeping at night.
3. Drink luke warm milk at night before bedtime.
4. Watch motivational videos and songs before bedtime.

As someone who often experiences sleep paralysis. I've started to become less and less scared whenever it occurs. The thing that works the best for me is not fighting against it, the more I try the more I panic. The more I feel like I will never wake up from this or that I'll die. So as they mentioned, remind yourself that you'll wake up in a bit. But more than moving your eyes, try to go back to sleep. Or fool your body to think it's sleeping, like closing your eyes and breathing steady.
This works wonderfully for me, because I always wake up a few minutes later.

I will share a portion of my testimony. I am familiar with sleep paralysis and trust me when I say this having sleep is nothing nice! It was time where I couldn’t move my body but my eyes were open and I will see demons on top of me! And I was scared for my life. Fast forward up till now I am saved by the grace of God I am free 😭🙏I don’t fight demons anymore, I have peace when I go to bed at night. Thank you Lord. And before I go if anyone of y’all is experiencing this I will pray for you and pray that you ask for deliverance! I’m Jesus name

One of the most horrifying and exciting thing that can happen is this. And the relief after is like nothing you will experience.

I always experience this 1-2 times a month! So much so that I got used to it and developed some techniques to break free from it. Usually what I do is to stay calm and think hard that I can move even just my pinky. That works mostly. Sometimes I just close my eyes and get back to sleep. No need to really panic as it is just your brain really tricking you.

I fought this demon most of my life. When I was 32 I was diagnosed with sleep apnea, then later narcolepsy. The day I started using the bipap machine, the demons left. Before I was diagnosed, my mind would wake up in the middle of horrifying moments, when I wasn't breathing due to the sleep apnea. So, more than just the monsters, I was alert to suffocating in my sleep.

I used to experience sleep paralysis during my undergrad years, when I was often sleep-deprived. The most common occurrences were during 40-min naps I would take between classes.

After a few scary experiences, I found a solution. Because it usually begins with me opening my eyes but unable to move anything else in my body, I would just close my eyes and try to sleep again. After a min or two, I could wake up normally.

I believe that the main reason for our fears are the dissonance of open eyes and being paralyzed. This fear may manifest itself in the form of hallucinations and monsters. So, simply close your eyes. It doesn't matter if you actually fall asleep again (which you probably won't, because you just woke up). Simply losing the dissonance between eyes and body helps a lot.

I only got the physical paralysis a few times but was never visited by anything thankfully. I usually just close my eyes and wait till I can move or fall back asleep.

Whenever you experience Sleep Paralysis, repeat "Jesus" over and over, whether out loud, or in your mind. The sleep paralysis lifts immediately.

I’m not spiritual or religious having suffered with Sleep paralysis for a long time I’ve learned when my body is going through it and how to wake myself up. But a couple months ago I was in one that actually scared me. I remember opening my eyes and something was pulling my abdomen from the side of my bed as if trying to pull me down . The thing that scared me the most is I heard screaming, deathly screaming. Multiple voices both male and female screaming like screams I don’t think I’ve actually ever heard in my life. I remember trying to do my normal thing to wake myself up and when I finally came to I was on my back and my hands were closed on my chest as if I were praying and I was panting and sweating like I never have before from a dream. I have never in my life ever slept with my hands like that nor am I religious in that aspect.
