How to survive sleep paralysis
1. Sleep with a uno reverse card in hands
2. move your eyes
3. Lay on your side
4. Face towards the door on you’re bedroom
5. Move your fingers 1 by 1 if you get sleep paralysis
6. It only has a 7.26% chance of happening
7. Always sleep on the same time every day and wake up the same time. (Better to sleep 9:00 pm- 8:00 am)

This happens to me a LOT. I've never been physically hurt by the images because I realized if I close my eyes, that's simply enough. The idea is still scary, but that tends to be my best bet. It also helps me to face a wall, or to keep some kind of light on. I find that when I do experience sleep paralysis, the dark enhances those images. I found the images manifest themselves based on my mood + how wide I keep my eyes open. That helps. There was a time when I faced the wall, and kept some lights on, and still woke up to see a scary, fully colored and detailed, face.

I find the nightmares + demonic presence and vibes, shapes and images come from my mental state before bed. This is something I delt with my whole life, but had patches in which they were gone, or at least, mitigated, because I either slept with someone else, or knew somebody was close by.

I had a lot of long-distance relationships growing up, keeping someone on the phone always helped, even if I was experiencing paralysis, because it was an immediate giveaway that what I was feeling wasn't real. One night, with my ex-wife, I woke up and was experiencing paralysis. I tried to shut my eyes, but right before I did, I saw she put her arm around me. I didn't tell her about my sleep issues at the time, so for her to do that was so appreciated she had no idea. Not only did my quality of sleep tremendously improve since moving in with her at the time, when I enlisted in the Navy, they came back for a little bit because of the stress, but quickly went away again, because I was almost always sharing a room with someone else. They started coming back as soon as a couple months after we got divorced and moved to different places. I moved back to my home state to meet my grandmother, and apparently she experienced the same things. Except for her, these experiences happened outside of sleep: in her day to day life, during the day, fully-conscious.

They are a "blessing" in her eyes, because as far as she's experienced, they can never hurt you, and they only get extreme when something is unaddressed. I asked her "How are the spirits a blessing when they're scary?" It's because the less you listen to them, the more extreme measures they have to take to get your attention. But when you accept them and let them in, you feel a positive presence, and they look out for you. I'm still struggling to see it as a blessing in my heart, but at least I've taken that step of acknowledging the logic behind the nightmares

They get me in my sleep paralysis phase, but I get them back in the lucid dreaming phase.

The pain is something actually going on in your body but your brain just manages to turn that pain into a dream. For example if your finger hurts cus you hit it on a table your brain in a dream will make it look like your finger is on fire or got hit by a hammer.

This is why I keep my bedroom door open and the lights outside on. If I don't, then I could end up seeing one of those creatures people have seen in their dreams.
