However, as good as these iPhones are after some time they are no longer recommended to purchase due to age and other technological advancements of newer iPhones. In this video, my aim is to help you decide which iPhones not to buy based on my experience as an owner of each and as someone who has made several upgrades over these iPhones seen in the video. iPhone 7, iPhone 8, and iPhone X all make the cut in this video and any iPhone older than these is also not recommended. i actually have the iphone 8 and i agree to not get it as of now. although after all these years this things performance is still crazy (granted it did get a battery replacement) but still for how old it is im impressed daily :)

I had to upgrade from my 7 because my cellular data had stopped working on it 🤦🏽‍♀️ and that battery life was terrible so I just upgraded to the 11 and i’ve been loving it ever since

Honestly I wouldn’t recommend getting the SE 2020 now, I have been using an SE 2020 now for over a year and the battery is starting to become poor, battery health is at 88% currently and I can barely get through the day now with normal usage. It’s definitely more worth it to get something like an 11 or even an 11 Pro/Pro Max on the used market as their battery life are much better than the SE.

It’s awesome how these phones held up in terms of performance! And the OS experience is just fantastic, they feel like brand new phones when you’re using them. But every time you hold it close to a newer iphone or even cheaper androids with their awesome displays and thinner bezels, these older iPhones (and the SE) really starts to show their project’s age.

I dont agree about the iphone X it’s still competing amazing in terms of speed with a iphone 13 iphone x is the beginning of the new history of apple iphones I recommend buying one if you have a low budget. It works pretty well very fast and 2022 games are doing amazing!

I’ve bought a used iPhone XS Max back in October of 2020 with 93% battery health for 450$, which was a steal at the time. I still have it 1.5 years later and it is now at 83% health. It runs well but I’m thinking about just replacing its battery with a new one and waiting another year maybe for the iPhone that comes out at that time. I wouldn’t recommend buying anything older than an XS.

My iPhone X still doing great job. But I agree not to recommend this except for someone who doesn’t have budget but want to buy a cheap 2nd hand iPhone. It’s still better to have the iPhone X than to have a midrange phones (except with 5G) IMO.

Yes the iPhone 8 is a bad buy but if you want a cheap homebutton iPhone you could save a lot.
Here in Canada a used iPhone 8 falls around $100-200. The iPhone se used is around $400 or so and new its $569 for the base model.
If you can find an iPhone 8 for around $100 for a battery health of 90% or higher you could still get some value out of this phone. Although yes the Se has better cpu. Similar camera. Etc.

I imagine that you also wouldn't recommend picking up an iPhone 4S even though it's design is beautiful. I also like the iPhone 8 plus as well.
