This will probably get lost in the comments, but I just wanted to say thank you, Scotty. My grandpa died when I was young and my dad left my mom when she was pregnant. I love cars and am always looking to expand my knowledge with how they work. I love watching your videos because you just seem so friendly and you're an amazing teacher. Kinda like the grandpa/dad I never had lol. I live here in East Texas so if I'm ever near Houston and need car repairs, I'm definitely coming to see ya haha

Got one for my son, $2500. Cherry condition. Owned by an old man who couldn't drive anymore. Rust free Florida car.

I had this car 04 to be exact and it saved my life. Guy hit me from behind hard and later I was told that I'd could've been killed but the frame was well built and that's what saved me.

*My neighbors have a 2005 Camry with over 234k miles and a 2003 Camry with over 417k MILES! You can’t make this stuff up, amazing!*

I've owned one for 4 years and this car is awesome! Has more than 165, 000 miles and runs like a dream and has never left me stranded, would definitely recommend for anyone looking for the most reliable car money can buy.

When the wheel squeaks on the Camry, it's kinda funny.
Squeaks on a Chrysler "these things were made like crap."

I wish you would have made this video a year ago! I have an 02 Camry with just over 260k miles with the same check engine code. I ended up just replacing the catalytic converter with a cheap one. Still running great!

I got a 2005 Camry, 3.0 V6 135, 000 km just over a year ago. In amazing shape, $7500 CAD and full service history (old man car). Runs great, oil barely changes shade between 3000 mile changes. My only complaint is it's worse on gas than my 1.6L 4-cyl Kia, but the extra *oomph* is sure a lot of fun.
Gets about 20 mpg city, and I haven't had it on the highway yet. Going to probably be my car for the next 10 years at least so long as gas stays reasonably priced.

I got the same exact car same year 4 years ago $1, 200 went through me and my brother 300, 000+ miles. All I did was change the oil. this things bulletproof!!

Oh and mine was a V-6

Where I work part of my job is making service parts for Toyota, so I know what vehicles last. The battery clamp on that Camry is one of the parts I make. I still occasionally ship trunk hinges for late 90's Avalons and radiator support brackets for the 97-01 Camrys. I love making parts to keep these vehicles on the road. We also supply service parts for Honda, GM, Ford and Chrysler.

2002/2003 were bad years for engine head bolts stripping and falling out and then you have to spend a couple grand on new heads or a rebuilt engine! 2007-2009 were bad years for VVT system failures along with massive oil leaks that were expensive to fix! The best years were 1997-2001, 2004-2006, 2010 and newer! I picked out a 2.4 liter 2006 SE trim, which comes with upgraded suspension and 4 wheel ABS disk brakes, for my aunt with 170, 000 miles and it's an excellent car!

I own a 2004 Toyota Camry LE 2.4L, and I love how well it runs. In the months I've owned it, it has only misfired once. I had to replace my spark plugs, my valve cover gasket, and my second cylinder spark plug coil. Can confirm that 2002–2006 Camrys are the best.

I would have sold my mom's car.
Thanks to scotty. I decided to keep the 2001 avalon. With 110000. Miles on it. Runs and looks great.

I don’t remember when was the time my dad passed his Camry to me, and he told me that, when this car breaks down, he will buy me a brand new mustang, now I am 27 and just have had a baby, I am planning to pass this Camry to her, so I can buy other one
