Scotty is the best used car salesman. When he starts his dealership, I'll drive across country to buy from him

A friend basically gave me his 1988 Toyota Corolla about 6 years ago and it had about 400k miles on it. I drove it another 6 years to 490k miles. I’d still be driving it but a tree branch fell on the rear window and I couldn’t get a replacement. I absolutely loved that little car.

“The stupid beauty cover” 🤣 I love this dude. He’s like the crazy uncle mechanic who just says it like it is. You want to sit next to him at Thanksgiving to get front row access to whatever he’s gonna say to the cousin nobody likes.

Still cracks me up, that when Scotty says junkyard, a Chevy dealership pops up🤣🤣🤣
Too funny

As a mechanic myself it’s nice to see when other mechanics actually tell people which cars are actually reliable.

I got a 1999 Toyota Camry back in 2020 for $2200 and it's still running great. Do all the oil changes myself.

Here in Brazil, Corollas are sold as middle-upper class vehicles, so most of them are kept in pretty good shape; the parts are kinda costly, but they still last like heck.

You still see many of the generation Corolla (2003-2008) still on the road today as they are reliable, well-built cars. Toyota doesn't make them cheaply as Ford, GM & Chrysler have made small cars cheaply.

With a $600 or so average monthly payment on a new car if a $400 car lasts two months you are way ahead if it dies.

I love my 2005 Grand Marquis. I bought it last year for 5 grand and it has only 55K miles on it. Best car ever made. Take it from me a former cab driver who drove these cars in San Francisco for 5 years, 10 hours a night. Some in our fleet had over 300K miles on them. Bullitt proof! Body on frame solid Detroit steel. No Uni body crap. RIP Crown Vic and Grand Marquis . You will be missed!

Manual transmission is indeed repairable. And so reliable, too.

“If it won’t come out, just wiggle and pry. It’ll come out.” Words of wisdom from the master mechanic. 👍

I have a 2005 Corolla just like that one, only mine is much nicer. It has 273, 000 miles and I've driven it from Ohio to Utah twice, Ohio to South Carolina twice, Ohio to Vermont once, and Ohio to Miami Florida. It didn't start once but I hit the starter with a wrench and drove it home. It's the best car I've ever had

“Oh well, it might last a couple of weeks, ” shows a picture of a brand new Mercedes 😂🤣

A lot of young people won't buy a Crown Vic/Grand Marquis/Town Car because they think it's an "old man's car" but those things are built like tanks and can last a really long time. I keep my mind on them and if I can find one in decent condition that's not going for a truck load of money, it's going to be mine.

I'm using an 2003 Corolla CE my dad bought back in 2010 with 175k miles. Still running great 12 years later, now with 260k miles on it.
