I was involved in a drivers side RTA last year and my car, a Skoda Octavia Estate. It is built like a tank and I have no hesitation in recommending Skodas, you get a lot of car for the money and those badge snobs don’t know what they are missing. Great review again!! Keep up the good work and Stay Safe.

Had one as a company car, utterly faultless car to drive, so much space and very comfortable. Used to see 60mpg on a run and never below 44mpg combined. Does everything you need it to do without shouting about it. Great cars

Just sold one, 2014 Skoda Superb L&K 2.0 TDi 170bhp (remapped to 210bhp) with 172k miles and massively regret the decision to part with it. I was worried that a clutch, dual mass flywheel, injectors or turbo will start packing up soon with that sort of mileage although there were no signs of it whatsoever. Had it from new and apart from servicing items nothing ever gone wrong with it. The sheer space front and back, travel comfort and top spec just made it a dream to drive and own it.
I honesty can’t find another make that would even begin to compete with the Superb in every category for the same amount of money.
I’ve already started to look for the same make and model with lower mileage.
Matt is absolutely right. If you look after them properly, they’ll look after you.

Bought a 2012 superb not the estate but the saloon about a month ago, full skoda service history 97000 on the clock, what a car haven't found anything wrong with it at all drives like a dream would recommend to anyone.

My daily is a Skoda yeti 2013 2.0 tdi 4x4 … what a lovely little motor to drive and own, I’ve owned Rangerovers, Land Rover defenders, discovery’s etc but I have to say this is more fun and a dam site more reliable plus when the rear seats are folded away it’s a little van for work, the 140 bhp Volkswagen engine is brilliant… highly recommend 👌

A friend had one of these in that “everything” specification. He took it to 160, 000 miles and sold it more because he thought that his luck might run out! Apart from a suspension bush (just one), it had standard servicing and no problems whatever. It was a very, very good car! 🙂🙂

Great video - definitely a case for making this a series - £3k, £5k, £10k etc. I worked with a guy who has had Skodas since the days when they were truly embarrassing back in the 1970s. He lived in a nice estate near Reading and parked his Skoda on the drive "to bring house prices down and annoy the neighbours."

The best car review I have seen on YouTube. My mate has this but a 2010 one in Ireland. I honestly couldn't believe how well the thing went up the steepest field I have seen. Machine solid beautifully built. When cars were actually engineered not like electronic appliances... as always great review

It’s a great car. Maintain it at the correct intervals and it’ll keep going and going. I often check out Sportbrakes, 5 series and A6 Estates but my 2012 L&K Superb Estate has everything inc panoramic sunroof and just makes no sense paying more for less. I love it. Superb stuff Matt.

My wife has a 2011 1.8tsi superb, we got it 6 years ago and it's now done 130k. Like your friend says our has also been trouble free and only ever needed routine maintenance. Great car!

Yes to all that. I had a Mk2 TDI estate for 5 years and have just traded up to a Mk3. They do everything really, really well.

Great little video. The short answer to your question, having owned an Mk2 estate is Hell Yes! Built like a Tank, more rear legroom hatch space than you can shake a stick at, and supremely reliable - Just watch out out for saggy rear suspension/ broken rear springs (fairly common on Skoda estates), and get either the Elegance or Laurin & Klement model with xenons, heated leathers & full set of toys 🙂.

I've had one of these for about 8 years, with the 170 bhp dsg engine and gearbox in elegance trim. It really is a great car. I have done over 100, 000 miles in it about 25, 000 of which was long distance journeys to Slovakia and back.

Unbelivevable how good and affordable this car is! I'm glad that are a lot of people with questionable logic who are buying these cars as new, so we can have this.

Preaching to the converted as far as I'm concerned. I have a very high opinion of Skoda's. My 16 year old Skoda Fabia with 170K on the clock is as reliable as the sun coming up, and it costs buttons to run and maintain. I've had it from 2008 when it had a mere 16K on the clock. A shrewdies dream car. 👍

I have a 65 reg Skoda superb, currently on 180185 miles, drives like new, it has the dsg gearbox and it's been superb. I've had Audi's in the past but this is way better. I'm a private hire taxi driver and people always comment on the car how it looks "very posh" keep the great content coming Matt👍

I had an L&K 4x4 Superb Estate and it was a great car for doing everything really really well. Previously had E Class Estate and I would rate the Superb up there with that...for a significantly reduced price.
The build quality drive and comfort were "Superb"....can't spoil the pun whenspeaking of this car.
Great video Matt 👍
