Like don't get me wrong. I like a good camera, but phones overall have gotten so good that imho it's not that important. Im not buying the fold to get the best cameras, Im buying it to get a new form factor that I truly like.

I have mine on preorder, but one of the positives for this (usability-wise) IS that left bezel/hinge. I'm hoping it will help prevent extraneous touch recognition when reaching my thumb across the screen. I have pretty big hands, but using my current phone (a Pixel 6 Pro) that's sometimes an annoyance when using it with one hand.

I'm really not a fan of that front design with the super rounded display and giant square hinge...seems super awkward.

I've had the Fold since the 1st edition, and spend way more time on the inside screen then the outside. Only time when not is if walking or doing something else actively. The inside screen and software is the most important part of the experience. And Samsung does have a great unfolded experience and software.

I plan on deciding when the Samsung new fold is announced in February. By then this phone should be discounted or have a nice trade in. I currently have the S23 Ultra 500GB and the trade in is only like $300.

I'm tempted—I think the form factor is so cool—but every time I'm about to order, I convince myself that I'd be better off buying a new flagship phone and a tablet (actually I don't need to buy anything - I've got the S21 Ultra and an iPad that are both running like champs). I've only had one or two occasions over the last year where I've been somewhere and wished I had a tablet with me instead of my phone. Would I just be giving myself a worse phone and a worse tablet by buying a foldable? Help me think of some self-justification that will let me talk myself into one of these.

I would have taken a slightly thicker fold with a larger battery and the actual Pro level camera system.

The Google pixel 9 pro fold excels where I think the z fold 6 and the OnePlus open fall short which is an AI. I've owned both devices and both devices seem to lack true AI. Gemini live is so entertaining and has completely saved me so many trips to Google for random searches for things I would normally ask Google assist for. Do these other two devices have a more powerful processor? Absolutely, but do they have a better ecosystem? Not necessarily. That being said, I still think the Google pixel 9 pro fold is the King of foldables for 2024. Which is why I traded both devices for the Google pixel 9 pro fold.

I really wanted to like it and get rid of my iphone. Pixel just isn't quite there yet in terms of software and hardware.

Also I have a Fold6 for my work phone, I really like the feel of that one in my hand more. Unpopular opinion, but I really like the slimmer cover screen 🤷🏽‍♂️

Google pixel 9 Pro fold is definitely the best phone on the market becose have everything like all phones plus special functions, it's like have all phones on the market in one hand! Trust me I know all phones on the market.
