Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold: A new shape and bigger displays

While I’ve only had a short time with it thus far, I really like what Google is doing with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold — you know, aside from its clunky new name. In a lot of ways, Google is delivering what I wanted Samsung to do for the Z line. The Pro Fold is thinner than Z Fold 6 while also having a bigger main screen. And its cameras should be better too. Oh, and priced at $1,800, it costs $100 less than the Z Fold 6 too.

I think the new Pixel 9 range is the most accomplished hardware design from Google. Now both software and hardware is gorgeous

I feel like I'm the only person that wants wider not taller screen(s). Like when you open it, its like an 8 inch tablet not an 8 inch square. You lose significant screen realestate when you try and watch a movie or anything lanscape on these square devices.
The front screen only needs to be reasonable and doesnt need to take up the whole panel if that would allow for a better camera, processing power and battery life.
That's just my wish though. I felt the clam of MS and the passport style of the OG pixel fold were more on the money when it comes to geometry. A step forward maybe for the 9 pro fold but until they put premium cameras on folds (premium priced products) they will continue to feel like they are a step behind.

EDIT: And no stylus/pen = a big negative.

Oh man! I kinda wish that passport size stayed a thing. Both Oppo and now Google ditched it. And the Find N2 I think is not getting a new Android and the OG fold is only getting 3 OS updates.

Does the inner screen snap open to a fully flat mode? The lack of this feature drives me crazy on the original Pixel Fold.

You know it's the camera hardware that bothers me a lot, I want a pixel 9 pro fold but the lackluster camera hardware. But I'm currently using a pixel 7 pro and the cameras are great

Waiting for the Google custom chip (in hopes of better thermals, battery life, performance and overall features). I think it looks good but waiting for more functionality and hoping for the price to go down a little.
