2:42 Plastic type 7 means "Other resin" - which is a group of plastics that are "difficult to recycle", and are almost never recycled. The arrow loop doesn't mean it's recyclable, it just specifies which type of plastic it is. The higher the number, the more difficult it is to recycle. Usually plastics 3 and up are too difficult to recycle for most companies to care about them and they either end up in landfills or are burned for energy.

The symbol on plastic products IS NOT a recycle symbol. It is the resin code to identify the type of plastic it is. Most plastic will not be recycled as it was never designed to be.
