As an iPhone user, I have to say I’m really impressed by these new Pixels. The hardware and build quality are top-notch, and the Gemini features are super cool. The only thing missing is a stronger ecosystem. If Google put the same effort into Chromebooks as they do with Pixel phones—improving the design and integrating more AI—it would seriously complete their lineup. That’s when I’d seriously consider switching over.

I have a Google Pixel Pro 7 and it's still awesome. I was going to get the 8 Pro and give this one to my sister to upgrade her old phone, but the 9 Pro XL is out, so I will be getting that in a while. No urgency, but maybe in a few months. I used to use that real popular protective case brand for all my phones for years, but earlier this year I got the dBrand case with black leather for my Pixel 7 Pro and my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra which still works great. I actually love these cases. Just as protective, but skimmer and more compact, the look and feel, and the case doesn't start deforming or deteriorating blue the rubber outer case of that other brand over time. I will definitely be getting the dBrand case and screen protectors when I get my Pixel 8 Pro XL.
