Balance!! It's sooo important. Falling can have catastrophic consequences on our bodies. So why do we all lose balance as we age? And what can we do about it? What about at night...why do so many falls happen in the dark?

In this video, we talk about all of these questions! We discuss the 3 systems our brain uses to keep our balance:
1. The Inner Ear
2. Vision
3. Receptors in our joints

It's essential that our brain doesn't become too reliant on any one system so they can interact efficiently, maintain our balance, and keep us safe! Check it out to get this info, and learn how your body works!!

good explanation, professional no ageism that I sense; you clearly state "regardless of how old we are, we can always improve...."
As I grow older, on own, hearing, vision, ability to focus are different, energy is zapped, thus balance also is affected. I suppose this can happen to younger people in same circumstances.
You are in 80s, with your spouse, healthy life style, full of energy, you might well have good balance....
