Great tutorial, I now have approx. 60 surviving fry. Keeping my fingers crossed, they are gorgeous kirin orandas. Now I've got brine shrimp bubbling, lol! Would be thrilled to get about 6 keepers when all is said and done. This is my first and probably only attempt at this and I'm confident I got this! Thanks Luke!

I had fancy goldfish in my pond for years. First year had 16 babies that didnt get eaten by the other fish. Started out with four ended up with 23. Lol.

How large of tanks and how much tanks would you recommend for breeding goldfish?

Just curious but wouldn't mixing them make it impossible to tell who's from who? So if you got another good one wouldn't it make it hard to remember who not to breed them with? Since you don't know who the parents are to prevent inbreeding or does that not matter much in fish? I can't imagine remembering all that for so many fish.

The problem for me is
1: I don’t have enough space to grow thousands of babies to a reasonable size
2: there isn’t a large enough market for fancy goldfish locally compared to more common fish to sell them all.

well I think I will be upgrading my goldfish to a 300gal stock tank and getting them a few more girls to make some baby's and turn my 75 gal or my 40 gal into a baby maker 5000

Heey luke after the egg hatches do I transfer them directly to their tank or ill just leave them in the bucket then transfer them to tank if they are free swimming
