WOW! I took piano lessons weekly from age 6 to 15 and still have never been able to just sit down and play chords. I gave up because even with a good foundation in sheet music reading I couldn’t play worship music for church with just chords on a sheet. You’ve blown my mind in just a few minutes and I’m literally in tears. I’ll be practicing a ton now!

The best thing about this channel is not about the skills taught or knowledges told. It's all about the emotional support and the motivation you rarely get in a virtual lesson.

I have been taking piano lessons for past 8 years and never learned how to practice chords and chord progressions.

You have explained in a simple form
how to practice chord progressions which has inspired me to improve my skills.
If I had a teacher like you my level of piano playing would have been much higher by now.

This is encouraging because this is where I'm at. This is part of my practice and seeing you lay the practice out in this way calms me down and tells me I'm headed in the right direction. Thanks Lisa.

When I hear someone else playing a diatonic chord progression, it's beautiful. When I play it, it sounds like disjointed chords 🤔

Lisa.. I can’t tell you how helpful this video was. You literally unlocked part of the mystery of this instrument for me when it comes to theory. I’m a Pianote member who has NOT taken full advantage of all the resources you offer & I’m determined to become a REAL member of the Pianote community. It’s videos like this that help me believe I can do it. THANK YOU

That exercise alone in all 12 keys for 15 to 30 minutes a day would make you a virtuoso by the end of the year. Love this!

Imma be very honest, this is why I like Lisa.
A simple D scale, was turned into something so fkin beautiful. You just make me fall in love with the instrument with every video I watch by you.
It's not even funny how you take a very simple exercise and by the end of the video you end up makin it sound so beautiful.
Really appreciate all your work.
And thank you ♥️

Since I found this channel, I have been following your instruction in my daily practice. I never practiced chords and scales because they were not fun. And I never knew why my piano skill never improved. Now I am practicing scales and chords every day. I never knew that it is so much fun to play them. Thank you.

I can see that these exercises are really going to help my playing. I wish I had discovered this video a couple years ago when I started (in my second attempt to learn the piano). Muchas gracias desde España.

💐 As a result of your scale and chord variations sounding so much prettier to the ear, I'm spending much more time sitting and practicing. Then after a few days or so, there's that beginner thrill of seeing an improvement 😊 Many thanks 😊

Hi sis! I'm happy to report that I've progressed past the beginner stage of piano playing. I've been focusing on chords with my right hand for the time being; with a little more practice, I'll get better. After seeing this, I realized I needed to put more effort into developing my two hands' finger coordination before attempting chords with both fingers. I'm sure I can achieve a lot with a few more weeks of practice.
God bless!
