how to slow down + be kinder to yourself when you feel overwhelmed, anxious & stressed

Feeling overwhelmed + anxious can be frustrating in a world where we're taught we constantly need to feel our best in order to be productive. I'm now realizing that when I'm overwhelmed, it's usually my body's way of telling me that I need to slow down and be kinder to myself (something I'm not great at doing). In this video, I'm sharing with you guys some coping methods I turn to in order to slow down and figure out what's going on when I feel like things are too much.

Life is a marathon, not a sprint. We need to develop healthy relaxation activities to recharge during down time. Also what we do when we up plays a super important role. We need to stick to healthy eating, daily exercising, cutting off negativity and negative people and we need to feed our selves with substance and not the crap the world feeds us. Be in control of what we can so that we can live well mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Too many people lately have been feeling on the edge. I feel like social media has a lot to do with how we distract ourselves and don't face our problems head on. Now that I'm off instagram mainly, suddenly I'm noticing sooo many things about myself and it's really overwhelming.

totally agree with how yoga classes felt like a chore! now that i'm doing intuitive stretching i really feel the benefits and find that i'm connecting with my body more. : ) this vid was great, feeling in sync with u!

I just went through this. you articulated the "why" very well. I know its good to identify your emotions and why you're feeling that way. There's nothing wrong with having bad days, we need to allow ourselves to feel even when that means feeling sad. I often struggle with feeling lost but I must remember that there is so much out in the world and I will find my way.

I have been sooo anxious and overwhelmed lately idk what it is. I am an introvert as well and when I’m overwhelmed I cannot talk or be around people if I have other things I need to get done.

your vids are always right on time. I had a difficult past few days and I felt just like this : anxious and overwhelmed. I ended up sleeping 12+ hours, something I don’t allow myself to indulge in often. And it felt good giving my body that rest and not berating myself into feeling better. I let myself feel it out and treated myself with kindness. It’s nice to know I’m not alone on this journey, thanks for sharing 💓

Thank you for making this video. I started yoga a week ago and it’s been really helpful I also meditate, and journal. I am the only one in my circle who does these practices to cope I am also the only one who goes to therapy and does this internal healing work. So I feel understood when I watch your videos. ❤️

think of meditating as watching your thoughts slowly flying by like clouds..its about awareness not repression, watch them pass by and then try to refocus on ur breathe to bring yourself back to the present ☁️ 🧘‍♀️
