As a regular viewer of yours, I truly enjoy this new video format. Instead of being for entertainment, it is for educational purposes. Just like a real chef! You should definitely do more videos like these!

The two biggest things I've learned from Guga that have elevated my steaks is high heat to get a good crust and properly seasoning the steak. I used to just salt my steaks 10-15 minutes before putting it on the grill. Now, I get the salt on (and plenty of it) at least an hour before, if not longer. That's the big elevation.

Tried this method for the first time tonight. I’ve tried Gordon Ramsay’s method several times, and several other chefs. But this is by far the best way to get the right crust, and the perfect done-ness. The texture and flavor were incredible! Highly recommend.

I am happy you made this channel! I don't think I would have every eaten steaks before watching your other channel, now I get to learn how to make them great! I really appreciate these videos and hope you continue to make em!

FINALLY! I've been waiting for a cooking tutorial video! I actually just bought the rub so finding out not to add it before cooking is a really good tip. PLEASE MAKE MORE OF THESE

Glad to see this type of video again. I miss the days of just Guga in his backyard or at the office showing us how to cook food better. The experiments and everything are fun, but my favorite videos are the ones that help me cook better food for my family.

Guga, please keep these instructional videos coming. I’ve been watching this and your SVE channel from the beginning, and I think this is some of your best content to date. So informative and entertaining at the same time. Keep up the good work!

Definitely like the educational aspect better. Entertainment is great, but learning how to cook better food is what I'm chasing personally. Great to have a mix of both styles... but really appreciate this new format. Thanks Guga!

I love videos with more instruction. That's what we're here for. You are the reason I've started buying whole cuts of beef instead of individual steaks. Cut my own steaks make them my own way. Your method of salt, pepper and a little bit of farcical powder is something I've done my whole life. Start with good meat and use less seasoning. But plenty of salt. Seasoning all sides is something I picked up from you. Let me tell you, my steaks went from That's a damn good steak to Holy Cow! That's the best steak I've ever had. Thanks Guga!

Man Guga, you guys have come a long way from a few years back and it is wonderful. I wish you more success in your future endeavors and I hope to continue learning from your videos.

Thanks for sharing this, it’s awesome (and your steaks always look incredible!). I’ve known about the hot/cold zone for indirect heat but have never seen someone rotate the grate like you did. As soon as you showed it, it made perfect sense - we want the steaks to be cooked by the heat from the fire, not the heat that has been captured by the grate. Unless you want specific grill marks - but this method gives you lots of control over that!

I must say that although I can't cook almost 98% of the recipes you teach. I can't deny that I love your way of explaining things, and well, this type of video seems to me to be the best thing you can do. Since although many of your recipes are simple, there are details within the preparation that perhaps many people do not understand

I dig these kinds of video formats from you, Guga. I learned a ton about sous vide from your beginner’s guide with your niece, and I learned a ton about grilling from this video.

The standard “food p0m” format of most of your videos is great, but I love a concentrated dose of learning. Thank you for this video, Guga!

Dude. How did I not understand about rotating the grill to PREVENT burnt marks when you first put the steak on the grill? That's such a good tip and so obvious now that I see you do it, but I never figured it out! Thank you Guga

Guga, it would be cool if you showed the process of letting the steak reach the right temp and how you check it, what thermometer you use and how often you check the steak. Amo os videos mano!

I have to say as someone who has watched your channel since your beginning when sve was considered your main channel. Your production and food eye candy is the best the internet has to offer. As much as I like this format. I'm not sure how your algorithm will move if you put videos like this on the main channel but we as audience members refer to your main channel videos to see sizzling b-roll and your legendary catch phrases. I can't speak for everyone out there but that's why I tune in. Your collabs just kind of garauntee I watch it sooner than later.

This video popped up in my recommended. So glad it did. You keep it real, can’t wait to see what else you got to offer man, thank you for the video!

Guga... You are the man! I have been doing it more wrong than I needed to. The spinning of the grate has eluded me for years. The initial sizzle should have stopped me in my tracks, but it never did. My steaks were close to perfect, but I messed it up in the first 30 seconds. Your method has shown me the error of my ways. More videos like this please. It will inspire more people to reach out of their comfort zone and purchase higher end steaks. They really do not know what they are missing. Cheers!
