I have thyroid for over a decade. Always tired ever after 8 hours of sleep, feeling crappy and hating myself for putting on weight every day. Doctors only suggest medication to bring down thyroid but no one talks about diet, like going gluten free, taking supplements. Thanks you for making this video. Much helpful

I am from Serbia, I have just discovered I have Hashimoto's a few days ago. My immunologist ordered the blood work, specifically vitamin D levels and thyroid hormones and antibodies - just based on a few symptoms I told her I had - allergic rhinitis and dyshidrosis on my palms. She even wrote in the report, before the results from the blood test came back, that she suspects I have Hashimoto's. I am visiting her today for the final tests reading, she is about to prescribe medications and supplements and I am sure, vitamin D will be the first one. I am so glad she knew about this correlation.

You have more knowledge than my GP and the consultant at the hospital. I've been feeling exhausted for the last twenty years and my condition has just been ignored by the doctors.

Thank you for this video, it really helped I'm going to get a vitamin d test done.

An alkaline diet lowers TPO antibodies too. An acidic diet raises TPO antibodies. I found this out on myself.

I would imagine just stopping gluten would be a huge game changer, but also dairy can aggravate those of us with auto immune issues

Vitamin D3 works great when taken with K2 and magnesium (Glycinate). This helps get it all into the actual cells instead of the blood. I wish more in healthcare realized the connection with low D serum and many health conditions. Peace and health 🙏

I feel so much better, I thought I was going crazy all of last week! I had an underactive thyroid 3months ago (Oct 2023) and had every symptom under the sun! High TSH, Low Vit D, and extremely high antibodies >1000. I started taking vitamin D straight away and just done follow up bloods last week.. and now my TSH & Vitamin D are both normal. I sat wondering how this could be & told myself it must have been the vit D and now this all makes sense, I wasnt going crazy after all 😃🥳

nice vid- but ensure your taking at least 300-500mg of magnesium gyclinate a day also because increasing vitamin d will lower your magnesium and cause alot of other problems . ensure you have k2 on board as well - I also do vitamin d consultations - for those who are really struggling

I'm 39 male, felt weak and "sick" for years. I had problem with concentration, memory, was loosing hair, sweting at nights, no energy for nothing, IBS, I also had slightly higher body temperature and so on. Turns out my thyroid antibody are around 900IU! my vitD is at 17 and that I also have fatty liver. But my thyroid hormons are within range. I was told sooner or later they won't be and I will have to suplements these hormons but it might be in 6 months or 10 years. I was told to suplement vit d and selenium. In 3 months vit d went to 32, antibody droped to 620. But I was also told by the doctor that it is uncurable and it doesn't really matter if it drops as it will never be below limit again 😢 Anyways most if the time I feel much better, not 10 of 10 but let say around 7 and it was around 4-5 before. Also healing my liver probably helped, I eat some antyinflamantory suplements like turmeric and I changed diet, more fruits, vegs, avocado oil, olive oil, chia, fishes, omega 3, black seed oil, cut carbs, etc. and I start some light exercises. Last meal around 17.00. Slowly loosing weight 0.5kg/week and getting back to shape. Hopefully I will stay on the right path, so tired of being tired.

Was diagnosed with Hashimoto's in 1998. No amount of thyroid medications ever helped me to feel better, however after beginning Magnesium I'm feeling like a whole new person.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 30 years ago and have been on medication since. I don’t ever remember being told about gluten or vitamin D. My thyroid is out of whack again and I am grateful for finding this post. Very well explained. Thanks.

What most people don’t know when getting a vitamin D test is that you need to get the active form of vitamin D done as well…so D OH-25and D 1, 25 which is the active form!!!

My doctors here in the US told me about the vitamin D deficiency! And I also take magnesium. I was first diagnosed in Colorado, and my doctor in Nevada also knew about the connection of hypothyroidism and vitamin D. You just had an uniformed doctor unfortunately. Glad you are doing better! It’s an awful feeling when things are out of balance!

thank you I recently got my Vit D up to 70.3 and I feel much better than when I was just barely sufficient at 25-30 and even better than when it was 43. I hope to keep this level.

Thank you so much. I have the same under active thyroid and vitamin D. I’m very scared of kidney stones. I was even debating with my doctor that I should stop taking vitamin D. Nobody would have shared their medical report. Appreciate your honesty and the research you have done. I can compare mine with yours and track my levels. I cannot thank you enough. Grateful for coming across this video.

I was the 80's poster child of Hashimoto's. Levothyroxine (Synthroid) was all that was prescribed. Symptoms of lethargy, braid fog, low energy, All of the l aspects of my life that was hard because I worked full time as an RN, I had two small children, and a demanding husband at the time. I went through hell for 20 plus years after doing my own research and what my body needed was liothyronine. Once I started that in addition to my Levothyroxine, everything cleared up and I felt human again. I'm 62 now, and ppl I tell this to can't believe it. They think the most energetic times of their lives were in their 30's to 40's. NOT me. the opposite. With that being said, I've had a wonderful life after age 40 since I added liothyronine. I wish I had the Vit D info available to me back then but there was limited resources and I was very busy with trying to keep up back then. Anyway, just thought I'd share that.

EXCELLENT! I hate being dependent on prescription levothyroxine, but if I can take a boatload of vitamin D instead, that would be _wonderful!_ I'm already taking some, but I'm going to increase my IUs today.
