I can 100% vouch on this take. My main PC is rocking the 3060 and has kept me happy for the most part, but I recently made a PC flip that included the 6600 XT and it absolutely SMASHED my personal PC’s benchmarks. I get on average 140 frames on Apex with the highest settings, but the 6600 XT was able to average around 40-60 frames higher. It was a very noticeable difference.

You have to look at this as a comparison to the previous giants on the list. It was one of the 10-series cards. The jump in performance from 10 to 30 is pretty substantial. And as someone who isn't very well versed in tech myself, plugging in another Nvidia card and the driver stuff being handled quickly and easily by geforce experience is one of those reasons why I have been skittish about switching to AMD. It's not quite as automatic as with Nvidia. Supposedly anyway. My point is, it's easy for me to see why 3060 was the step up. It's familiar, definitely an upgrade, most likely went for the 12 GB vram option, for amateurs like me, it looks like the obvious choice.

i recently upgraded from a 3060ti to a 7900xtx for just 900 bucks and although there are a bit more issues with the card, its still the second best graphics card on the market for less than half the price of the best card.

Where i live they're at the same price and i actually bought a 3060 instead of the 6650 because it has 12gb of vram and the nvenc codec

That is really good advice because I am helping a friends brother, but are still in the part-pickingphase and actually the rx 6650 got a lot of backlash so when I looked it up I found less complaints about the 6650 and the 3060, which I why I was going to ho with the 6650
