DON’T Buy an RTX 4080
Nvidia will be launching their RTX 4080 16GB GPU soon, and while it will be a very fast graphics card, gamers should avoid the 16GB 4080 at all costs because of its insane price point. Not only is the 4080 too expensive, but when you compare it to last gen cards, or even AMD’s upcoming RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT it looks incredibly silly. Even when you compare it to the RTX 4090 it seems to hold worse value for gamers. This is why PC Gamers should reject the 4080 and look for other GPUs, otherwise prices will continue to rise.

I remember when the 3080 was revealed for 699.99 i thought that was expensive back in 2020! now it doubled in price! 😂

Sounds like a good opportunity for AMD to capture a bigger market share.

The 4070 is the first 70 series card that does not have a 256-bit memory bus; It's cut down to 192 bit. Unforgivable.

I've had an RTX graphics card for the last 4 years and I'm sure I've only used Ray Tracing a handful of times. I've probably used DLSS more times and now FSR exists there really isn't a need for me personally to keep paying the RTX tax. If the day one reviews of Radeon are good in Rasterization, I'm more than happy to move camps for lower, more reasonable prices.

This man is so smooth he makes 60fps look like 420fps

Despite the lackluster RT perfomance, the 7900 XTX just looks so much more compelling, at least from what AMD has presented us. If it ends up being decent for productivity, I'll pick one up

Great vid, couldn’t agree more. 4080 is literally a slap in the face to consumers

Glad to hear you talk about the 500$ price increase over the 3080, that's stupid

If anyone buys an RTX 4080 instead of an RX 7900XT OR XTX they are some kind of special.

No one mentions that the $1, 200 price is only for the founders edition. Third party 4080’s will run at around $1, 500.

After buying Nvidia cards for decades they've finally convinced me to buy AMD.

Don't buy any Nvidia card. They are ALL overpriced....

Nvidia CEO, "Seeing what buyers have paid scalpers for our cards. We will increase our prices for our GPU cards. Maybe the scalpers had the right idea all along."

Just bought a used 3080ti for a bit under $900. In sweden that's a pretty good deal, I think. The prices for the new gen gpu's are just beyond insane over here.

The 4080 starts at $2, 259 here in Australia. So yeah pretty absurd. I've been a fan of Nvidia, but this generation I'm definitely going with a RX 7900 XTX this time around

These prices on eBay you mention aren't accurate for me unless I'm looking wrong

I'm with you. I think they are way too expensive. However they will still sell out day one and that's why they are charging crazy prices or it's to make people buy up all 30 series and then maybe the 40 series may drop in price.

Im with you guys, in terms of gaming i dont see any reason to go for nvidia. Problem is when youre doing production work like blender and unreal engine or AI training NVidia will be the option to go for so thats what I will have to do. Cant wait for AMD to catchup on production so I can switch back

I refused to pay the Nvidia tax. I pulled the trigger on an 6800XT last week for $520. I would have gone up to $750 without blinking for a 4080, and maybe even $800 if the testing proved it worthy. But no way to $1, 200 for an 80 series. I have other hobbies and other places I wan to spend money.
